    Madam:

    Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 264 dated June 1, 1988, which declares the 26th
    day of June every year as the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
    (IDADAIT), it aims to raise public awareness on the ill effects of drugs. This year's theme is
    "People First: Stigma Stop and Discrimination, Strengthen Prevention." This activity
    emphasizes the importance of combating disinformation campaigns about illegal drugs that
    can harm the public and raise awareness about the negative impact, stigma, and
    discrimination on people who use drugs and their families, as well as raising awareness of the
    AIDS and hepatitis epidemics among people who use drugs and expanding and strengthening
    HIV and hepatitis prevention programs. In view of this, I am requesting from your good
    office to allow us to conduct the following activities:

    1. Slogan making
    2. Poster making
    3. Symposium
    4. Essay Writing
    5. Clean-up Drive

    The activities aim to promote awareness and intervention in drug abuse and its related issues,
    as well as promoting people empowerment in leading a healthy, drug-free, and productive
    lifestyle.
