NARRATIVE REPORT
I. Title: Simulation and orientation Activities among School Personnel regarding the actual conduct of face
to face
II. Rationale:
DepEd Order No. 71, s. 2021 sates that all public schools nationwide shall conduct a self-
assessment using the School Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT) Enclosure No. 1 in preparation for the
expansion phase and onward transitioning to new normal of face-to-face. The Schools Division
Superintendents shall facilitate the administration of School Safety Assessment Tool in all schools in
their respective area jurisdiction and determine the level of readiness based on the result of SSAT. For
schools with substantial gaps based on the result, the SDO shall provide assistance to address the gaps
and improve readiness.
One of the components of School Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT) is Managing School
Operations, specifically Indicator 1 on Shared Responsibility which includes the following item: the
school has conducted simulation activities among school personnel regarding protocols and routines to
replicate and discuss possible scenarios during the actual conduct of face-to-face classes.
Simulating the new normal set-up for face-to-face classes is a proactive activity that must be
done by schools piloted Face-to-Face classes in order for the school administrators and teachers to get
hold of the situation and to identify and address concerns and issues on the F2F implementation before
they even arise.
Citing this valid information, the teaching staff of Bambang North Central School, headed by the
principal and district supervisor, conducted a simulation of the new normal set up last April 15, 2022.
From the said simulation, the following recommendations were made by the public schools
district supervisor, Sir Edward M. Santiago:
1. Uniformity of signage colors and content;
2. Consistency of Entrance and Exit directions per class;
3. Repainting of chairs of the learners;
4. Minimizing class facility

II. Rationale:

for the expansion phase and onward transitioning to new normal of face-to-face. The Schools

This orientation activity is significant in order to inform parents on the expected situation
for the face to face learning and to discuss concerns and issues of parents on the conduct of F2F.
Citing this valid information, the teaching staff of Bambang North central School, headed
by the principal, conducted a parents’ orientation last February 14, 2022 regarding the new
normal learning and conduct of limited face-to-face classes.
III. Objectives of the Activity
This orientation activity aims to:
1. Discuss the content of DepEd Order No. 71, 72 and 85 s. 2021;
2. Present guidelines on the conduct of limited face to face classes;
3. Present the extent of readiness of the school in conducting limited face-to-face classes
4. Address issues and concerns of parents regarding the conduct of limited face-to-face classes.
