Cold Drawn Carbon Honed Tube

Drawn over mandel or cold drawn seamless honed tube. Material is stress-relief annealed
and offers surface finishes commonly ordered 10-20 microinch. Can furnish skived and bur-
nished ID-finished tube and chrome-plated OD and/or ID.

American Specifications
ASTM A513 Type 5, ASTM A519 cold drawn seamless, KR3504 (ST52.3 (ST37.2)

Applications
Used for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder manufacturing and pump barrels.
Close tolerances and smooth surface finishes are critical in these applications.

Machinability
Materials can be readily machined, honed, skived, etc. as well as thermally treated to pro-
duce a superior finished product.

Weldability
The absence of alloying elements in combination with the low manganese content makes
for easy welding.

Heat Treating
Can be heat treated.

Continuous Cast Iron Bar

Cast iron bars are usually alloys that contain more than 2% carbon and from 1% to 3% silicon.
Cast iron bar is offered in gray and ductile types. The major difference in these types is the
shape and distribution of graphite in their micro structure. Continuous casting virtually
eliminates porosity, inclusions, burned-on impurities, and surface flaws.

Pistons, glands, caps, manifolds, rams, valve bodies.

Terms & Conditions of Sale

Deliveries and claims against carrier:

A clear receipt given to the carrier by the consignee eliminates the possibility of a claim for damage or shortage
against the carrier. In cases of damaged goods, the customer will be responsible for any damages received from
truck lines during delivery. Cylinder Repair Components will handle UPS damage claims in order to reimburse the
customer. Once UPS approves the shipment claim, Cylinder Repair Components will reimburse the customer on the
amount rendered. If a package is late, Cylinder Repair Components will reship the package and the customer will be
responsible for the cost of material and freight expenses. Guaranteed UPS freight shipments will be reimbursed to
the customer when Cylinder Repair Components is notified within the one-week period.

Return of goods:
Orders shipped in error or being restocked must be shipped one week of the invoice date or the customer will
be responsible for payment. Customers will pay a 50 percent restocking fee on canceled orders or materials
being returned for credit. Packages are required to have a return authorization document from Cylinder Repair Com-
ponents for the return to be authorized.

Defective Material:
In spite of the greatest care, it is sometimes impossible to detect all imperfections. We guarantee to replace
with new material, such goods as prove defective. No charges for labor or expenses required to repair defective
goods will be accepted from Cylinder Repair Components.
