LO2 - Develop construction drawings, details, schedules and specifications in support of a given
construction project.
LO3 - Interpret different types of construction information in order to explain a construction project.
LO4 - Assess ways in which construction professionals collaborate in the production of construction

Assignment Brief and Guidance - Report

Scenario
Consider the two-story building plan provided to you in your Auto CAD practical session. Assume that
you have to prepare a complete set of documents to submit to the building department for approval.
This includes drawings, details, specifications, budget, and legal documents.

Produce a report for the following tasks giving proper explanations related to the construction
information, how they are prepared and how they are used in different situations by the departments.

Task-1

Q1. Explain what construction information is and state their common uses for the construction
industry. . (P1)

Q2. Describe specifically the different kinds of construction information and how they are used for the
different purposes. (P2)

Q3. Compare the different types of construction information and identify how they are suitable and

use of diagrams, pictures, etc. The presentation is expected to be about 20-minutes long – In
Class Room Presentation). (M1)

Task-2

Q1. For the building plan you prepared in your Auto CAD lab assessment, prepare the general
arrangements, selected details, and door/ window schedules. Relate them with their specifications
(Performance, brand, and lifetime). (P3, P5)

Q2. Produce an outline BOQ and compose a Schedule of Work for the above house plan justifying
their use in the scenario. (P4, M2, D1)

Q3. Explain clashes; Critique how clashes can be identified using the construction information like
