MAPEH 8
Introduction
The MAPEH SUBJECT, through its curricular and co-curricular programs, aims to promote the highest
levels of human aspiration and artistic integrity of students’ cultural and unique identity through
composition, documentation, and performance in music, arts, dances and making students conscious
of the importance of health and physical education by keeping their minds, bodies, and spirit healthy.
In line with the school’s thrust, this subject aims also to inculcate in the students the importance of
human life as a gift of God and the importance of building a family with hearts that can love, care
deeply and can fulfill the duties and responsibilities of parenthood. Students make realize that God is
always at work in their lives both in their success and failures.
A. General Objective
The learner demonstrates understanding of salient features of Asian music and the arts, through
appreciation, analysis, and performance for self-development, the celebration of Filipino cultural identity
and diversity, and the expansion of one’s world vision.-The learner demonstrates understanding of
family and school fitness in sustaining an active lifestyle.-The learner demonstrates understanding of
family health and prevention and control of diseases and disorders to achieve, sustain, and promote
family health and wellness.
B. Student Must- Haves
Students are required to have the following supplies by August 22, 2023:
We are a community that learns. Keep in mind that respect for others, our classroom, and oneself are
necessary for learning.
To be knowledgeable about the subject matter and to have the necessary qualifications and experience
to teach it effectively.
To present the material in a clear and organized manner, using clear explanations and examples.
To be available to provide support and feedback, both inside and outside of class. They want to have
opportunities to ask questions and receive constructive feedback on their progress.
To be assessed and graded fairly, based on their knowledge and understanding of the subject.
To be relevant to their lives and to the real world, and to have the ability to explore it in a way that
interests them.
TEACHER EXPECT THEIR STUDENTS:
Teachers want students to come to class each day ready to learn.
Teachers want students to understand that the concepts they are teaching them are meaningful.
Teachers want students to be critical thinkers.
Teachers want students to recognize individual strengths and weaknesses.
Remember that the best reward that a child can get is the ability to acquire new knowledge and skills that can
help and become the scaffolding of their success in the future.
