I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

a. identifies with actions that say if the action has already happened,
happening now or still reaching
b. use the correct tense or verb related to time in the speech (MT3G-IIIf-h-
1.5.4)
c. write the correct verb that should be used in the statement

A. Preparatory Activities
1. Setting Standards
 What will you do if the teacher starts the discussion?
- Sit down properly and listen to the teacher.
 What will you do if you want to answer my question?
- Just raise the right hand.
2. Review
- Rearrange the scrambled letter to form a new set of word.

 What is a pictograph?
- A pictograph is a way to represent data using images.
 How are we going to get the data?
- To get the data in the graph always consider the given legend below the
graph.

B. Developmental Activities

1. Drill (Guess the word)

 Group the class into three.


 Each group will have an envelope. Inside the envelope has problem that they will
be going to solve to get the corresponding answer.
 The first group got the correct answer will receive a reward.

A. Activity

 Divide the class into three groups.


 Each group will get an envelope which contain different task.

Group 1 (4 pics 1 word)

 Given the different pictures. Pupils will be going to guess if what is the word
will be going to form base on the pictures.

 Arrange the picture given.


 List down verbs that you have seen in the picture.

Group 3 (Complete Me!)

 Pupils will complete the sentences by choosing the correct word of action if
it is already happened, happening now or still reaching.

B. Analysis

 Based on the activity, what are those verbs or action words are being used?
Give at least five of what you have remembered.
 How will you know if the word being used is a verb?
 How will you know if the action is already done?

C. Abstraction

 From the discussion and your activity, have you gain knowledge about verb
and the different function of it?
 What is a verb?
- A verb is a word that describes what the subject of a sentence is doing.
