Tools – Tertiary Data Analysis (Oracle Only)

This utility (on Oracle systems) will load the selected files into Oracle (temporarily)
so the user can perform advanced queries on the records. This is particularly
useful for Legal Intercept (Law enforcement) requests.

The user must first select a Network Element. Once files are selected for one
Network Element, the user can continue to select additional Network Elements
and additional files for the query.

Data will remain loaded for that user until the files are removed via this interface;
otherwise, the system clears them out overnight.

NOTE: The Start Date/End Date and Start Time/End Time is actually based on the
call records (When the call disconnect occurred).
Tools Menu

Access the following information from this drop down menu:

Network Elements – Configure the Network elements connecting to the GVB-M

System
Process Groups – Manage the Process groups responsible for Data Mediation
Schedules – Manage the Schedules that Progress Groups, Tasks and other
Modules run on.

For each of these selections, the Network Element will be selected automatically.
The user can manage the creation of Groups to be used with the Data Volume
interface.

One or all Network Elements can be turned UP or DOWN via the Manage Status
button.
Configuration – Process Groups

A Process Group is a group of tasks selected in the order they will be performed.
The Process Group can then be associated with one or more Network Elements.
These tasks occur as soon as data reaches a given task if no triggers are
configured. Triggers may be used to cause a task to execute based on a defined
schedule, or a defined minimum volume of data.
Configuration – Schedules

Schedules can be defined for both incoming and outgoing data. Additionally,
users can access the Scheduled Tasks interface to assist with daily operations
and data transfers.
Configuration – Scheduled Tasks

User defined tasks may be created and edited to assist with daily operations and
data transfers.
Configuration – Global Parameters

In this interface, general information about the GVB-M Server is defined. These
values can be changed via this screen.
Configuration – Output Destinations

This screen allows the user to configure one or more downstream systems to
receive data from the GVB-M Server.
Data Stream Tasks Configuration

This utility will display the application processes that are running based on the
system’s configuration.

The processes listed in this interface are governed by the sanityd process.
Processes can be enabled and disabled from this interface. If new modules rules
are created and configured, they can be added to the data processing flow via this
interface.

It is important to understand, this does not dictate the order in which the data
processes, but the order in which the module processes are started and stopped.
The module configuration files must still define the input to that module as well as
the output. The reverse is also true, removing a module from this interface will not
remove the rules and configuration but make it such that the module will not start
up and therefore, data may not process through the system.

Please use caution when assigning access to this interface, to ensure modules
are not inadvertently removed or disabled.
