Sandwich panel is a system
the utmost convenient and economical solution for them to have a powerful stand. As
modern, light and durable construction elements, sandwich panels are used to clad roofs
and external walls of the buildings as well as achieving insulated internal walls and cold
storages.

Dimensions of Sandwich Panel

Thicknesses of Sandwich Roof Panels and
Sandwich Wall Panels to be used for the
roof and walls of your building based on
the types of insulation range from 40 mm
to 200 mm

Characteristics
Thermal resistance :
Sandwich panels have λ-values from 0.024 W/(m·K) for polyurethane to
0.05 W/(m·K) for mineral wool. Therefore, they can achieve different U-
values depending on the core and the thickness of the panel.
Acoustic insulation :
The assessed sound reduction measurement lies at approx. 25 dB for PU
elements and at approx. 30 dB for MW elements.
Fire behaviour:
Sandwich panels have different fire behaviours, resistance and reaction,
depending on: the foam, the metal thickness, the coating, etc. The user will
need to choose between the different sandwich panel types, depending on
the requirements.
Impermeability:
The assembly system of sandwich panels helps create air and water-tight
buildings.

Polyurethane adhesives offer a good
blend of cohesive strength and
flexibility which makes them very
tough, durable adhesives.
Polyurethanes bond well to most
unconditioned substrates but may
require the use of solvent-based
primers to achieve high bond

strengths.

The Power of PUF Panels:

Unleashing the Future of
Construction
PUF panels
PUF panels are a type of
sandwich panel that are made
up of an insulating core
material, such as polyurethane
foam, and two outer metal
sheets. These panels are
widely used in the
construction industry for their
excellent insulation properties
and durability.
Composition of PUF Panels

PUF panels consist of three layers:

-the inner foam core,
-the top metal sheet
-the bottom metal sheet.
-The foam core is made up of polyurethane foam, which is
known for its excellent thermal insulation properties.

The metal sheets are typically made of steel or aluminum

and provide additional strength to the panel. The panels
can be customized to meet specific requirements, such as
thickness, size, and color.
Applications of PUF Panels

roofing
wall cladding,
cold storage,
industrial buildings.
clean rooms
hospitals
laboratories due to their ability to maintain a sterile
environment.
ideal for use in areas prone to earthquakes
extreme weather conditions as they offer excellent resistance
to wind and seismic forces.
They are also resistant to corrosion and require minimal
maintenance.
Advantages of PUF Panels
They provide excellent thermal
insulation, which helps reduce
energy consumption
lower heating and cooling costs.
They offer superior sound
insulation, making them ideal for
use in noisy environments.
PUF panels are fire-resistant and
comply with international fire
safety standards.
They are also eco-friendly, as they
are made from recyclable
materials and can be reused or
repurposed at the end of their life
cycle.
Disadvantages of PUF Panels

susceptibility to moisture which

can cause the foam core to
degrade and reduce the panel's
insulation properties.
limited lifespan, which is
typically around 20-25 years.
After this period, the panels
may need to be replaced or
refurbished
PUF panels are not suitable for
load-bearing structures and
should only be used as cladding
or insulation material.
ALTERNATE WALL TECHNOLOGIES
The primary need for alternate wall technology is to reduce
dependency on concrete/ present techniques, reduce cost on
materials, have better insulation control, etc.
PREFABRICATED WALLS
Prefabricated walls are manufactured off-site
and then assembled on-site.
They are made from materials like wood, steel,
or concrete. Prefabricated walls are easy to
install, energy-efficient, and durable.

Advantages:
Prefabricated walls are easy to install and
can save time and money in construction.
They are highly customizable and can be
made to fit the specific needs of the
building.
Disadvantages:
Prefabricated walls can be more
expensive than traditional building
materials.
They may not be a sustainable choice for
construction, as they often require
energy-intensive manufacturing
processes.
BAMBOO WALLS
Bamboo walls are made by weaving bamboo
strips together and then coating them with
plaster. Bamboo walls are eco-friendly, strong,
and flexible.

Advantages:
Bamboo walls are strong, durable, and
flexible.
They are an eco-friendly alternative to
traditional building materials.
Bamboo is a renewable resource that grows
quickly, making it a sustainable choice.

Disadvantages:
Bamboo walls may not be suitable for
areas with high moisture levels.
The production process for bamboo walls
may require specialized skills.
Bamboo walls can be expensive
compared to other alternative wall
technologies.
STRAW BALE WALLS
Straw bale walls are made by stacking bales of
straw on top of each other and then coating
them with plaster.
Straw bale walls are a good insulator and have
a low carbon footprint.
Advantages:
Straw bale walls are highly insulating,
reducing the need for additional heating or
cooling systems.
Straw bale walls are relatively low-cost
and easy to construct.

Disadvantages:
Straw bale walls can be a fire hazard if
not properly treated.
They require regular maintenance and
may need to be replaced after several
years.
Straw bale walls are not suitable for
areas with high moisture levels.
Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks (CSEB)
Made from a mixture of soil, sand, and
stabilizers like cement, lime, or fly ash. The
mixture is then compressed into blocks using a
hydraulic press.
Advantages:
CSEBs are made from locally available
materials, making them cost-effective.
They are eco-friendly and have a low
carbon footprint.
Also, it has good thermal properties,
keeping the interior of the building cool in
hot climates.
Disadvantages:
The production process requires
specialized machinery, which can be
expensive.
If the soil used is not properly tested,
the blocks may not be strong enough for
construction.

COST
These costs are estimates and can vary depending on several factors,
as mentioned earlier. Additionally, the cost of construction can also
vary depending on other factors, such as labor costs, design
complexity, and location.

1. Prefabricated Walls: The cost of prefabricated walls can range from

Rs. 2000-4000 per square meter
2. Bamboo Walls: The cost of bamboo walls can range from Rs. 1500-
2500 per square meter
3. Straw Bale Walls: The cost of straw bale walls can range from Rs.
1000-2000 per square meter, depending on the size of the bales
and the quality of the materials used.
4. Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks (CSEB): The cost of CSEBs can
range from Rs. 10-20 per block, depending on the size and the
quality of the materials used.
