months outdated and isn’t going to help you
in any way anymore.

Your Go-To SMM2 Item Importation Guide

Compiled by SMM2’s Best Glitch Hunters and Paper Editors ;)

If you want to add something to this document (things that work/don’t work with
this glitch) send tee#6002 a message on Discord and the document owner will
implement it. Please, no silly messages or joke suggestions and please try to
keep each suggestion to only one message.

UPDATE 12/10/19 - This guide is now extremely outdated. Several things have
changed with the update, including the methods necessary to execute this
glitch- that being said, we will be continuing to update this so that everything
will be accurate. For now, here’s the method you can use to execute the Item
Transfer Glitch-

1) Open CourseBot and create a new course.

2) Place the object(s) you want, then erase them.
3) Load, then open the same slot as the level you just made.
4) Once you get the style you want, you can simply undo, and the item will
have been transferred.

UPDATE 12/5/19 - The 2.0 Patch has landed, and with it comes the removal of
the CCG. We are currently conducting an investigation on other things that have
been patched by 2.0.0, but until then, you’ll need to corrupt the level using other
strategies (such as the black hole glitch)
Undo smuggling is patched as well, so as of right now this entire glitch does not
work.

The Coin Corruption Glitch (CCG)

What is this glitch?
The Coin Corruption Glitch is the easiest and quickest way to corrupt a level. This is
very useful when trying to import levels/items to and from 3dw.

How to perform this glitch

1. Place a ? block
2. Place a track with a coin over the ? block.
3. Un-drag the track (this should leave an invisible coin on top of the ? block).

How to import levels

Method one
1. Create a new level (or use an existing one) and save it.
2. Use the reset rocket on that level.
3. Perform the Coin Corruption Glitch* and then save the level as something else.
4. Select the save/load button and load the empty slot where you had saved your
level (this should now be empty because of the corruption).
5. (optional) If the level has not loaded in the game style you want to use, repeat
step 4 until you get your desired theme.
6. Once you have your desired theme, hold undo until your level appears.
*This step doesn’t require the CCG. If you are able to corrupt the level in some other form, you can replace CCG with the
corruption method. However, CCG is the fastest way of corrupting a course (or placing a theme exclusive item)

Method two
1. Create a new level (or use an existing one) and save it.
2. Close, and relaunch the game. Your level should now be the title screen level.
3. Select “make” and use the reset rocket.
4. Perform steps 3-6 of Method One.

How to smuggle items between styles

Smuggling items to 3DW
1. Make a corrupt level using the coin corruption glitch.
2. Place down the item you want to smuggle.
3. Save.
4. Load the empty slot the previous level was deleted from until you get your desired game
style.
5. Place your glitched item and then pin it. Currently, this is not save-safe, but pinned items
persist in-between levels (keep in mind 3dw/2dw hotbars are different). If you change the
sun to moon, then delete the moon, the night is save-safe.
6. Suggestion: add more steps here. After pinning, open a 3D world level and the glitched
pinned item will stay pinned and you can place it into your level.

Smuggling items to 2DW

Smuggle tracks and a 2DW exclusive item to 3DW, then perform steps 1-5 of Smuggling items
to 3DW.

Anti-upload bypassing
1. Save the desired level.
2. Zoom out and use multi-select to delete the first screen-width of the level.
3. Drag the end flag all the way to the left.
4. Switch to the sub-area (if there is one) and repeat steps 2 and three.
5. Save the level.
6. Place a ? block
7. Draw a track over the ? block place a coin, then move it onto the track
8. Undraw the track.
9. Save the level.
10. Load the now empty level spot that the course was saved in.
11. Repeat step 10 until your level is in the same "world style" (2dw/3dw).
12. Undo until you cannot undo anymore.
13. Change to desired game and theme and save the level.

*Steps 2-8 must be repeated exactly as instructed or you may not be able to completely undo
your level into existence.
