Remember This!

Technology

A discourse of Art (Buchanan, 2010).
Concepts like machines ad tools were also attached to the word
“technology”
In one way or another, each person in the society is directly or indirectly
affected by technology whether he wills it or not.

Most people survive their everyday lives with great reliance to the
different technological advancements already available to the masses.
Technology is already an evitable part of the society.

Use of technology

1.Convenience 3. Happiness

2.Pleasure 4. Communication

However, anything too much is bad. There are also various ethical
dilemmas involving the use of technological devices. Furthermore,
harm may come to humanity because of misuse or invention aiming to
produce bad results.

Roles played by Tv sets, mobile Phone and Computers and Laptops

Television (Households with TV set reached 15.135M (Noda, 2012)

causing it to be the ultimate medium for advertisement placement),
phone (1 out of 3 Filipinos cannot live without a mobile phone – Ipsos
media Atlas Philippines nationwide Urban 2011-2012 survey), and
computer. Unlike the previous two, possession of computers is not
possible for all Filipino families. Most profits gained by computer and
laptop manufacturers come from offices, businesses, or schools.

Ethical dilemmas
▪ Most parent would argue that these devices make their children
lazy and unhealthy.
▪ People are freely exposed to different things on televisions, mobile
phones, laptops, and computers.

Ethical Dilemmas faced by Robotics
