Summary
For BBPOS mPOS terminal line, you must first create an Order Profile before creating the final Order that is downloaded
by the device. These two items are built within the Order Profiles and Orders sections within the BBPOS Terminal
Management System portal. Below is a quick summary of the steps to download the mPOS line of terminals:

This document is designed to walk you through downloading the Key, Firmware, and Configuration Order into the device
step-by-step.
Supported Devices
This document details support for the following mPOS devices:
• Chipper 3X BT
• WisePad 3
• WisePad 3S
• WisePad Q
Create an Order
Once you have created an Order Profile, you can create the actual Key, Firmware, Configuration (KFC) Order that can be
downloaded into the terminal. The following section details how to create the KFC order.
1. If you have not already, log into the Terminal Management System
b. Enter the quantity of devices that are to be downloaded with this order
c. Select your Distributor from the dropdown list that you used while creating the Order Profile
d. Select the order profile name that you previously created from the dropdown list
1. Run the Terminal Management Tool (TMT) application loaded on your PC.
i. You may encounter the following alert upon your first use, please click “More info” and select “Run anyway” to
continue
c. Login using your Terminal Management System (v1) login information and select “LOGIN”
e. Select the order you want to upgrade the device with and click Start
f. Select which items of the KFC you want to upgrade in the device. Note: Do not select the box beside the Key if you
are physically injecting the device via GeoBridge.
g. Double check the items to upgrade and the order summary. Click “Next” to proceed
k. The tool will begin loading the device(s) with the desired configuration
Appendix A
Resolving Device Stuck in Bootloader Mode
1. Download the BBPOS Firmware Online Upgrade Tool here.
2. Start the tool
3. If a warning is prompted,
a. Select “More Info”
4. Login to the tool using your TMS login and click Login
5. Connect your device to your PC via USB and your device should be recognized automatically. If the device is not
recognized, try the following:

a. Chipper Series
i. Poke the reset button located beside the USB Port 2 times.
b. WisePad 2 Series
i. While holding down the 1 and 9 keys on the pinpad, poke the reset button located on the bottom
of the back of the device.
c. WisePad 3 Series
i. While holding down the 1 and 9 keys on the pinpad, poke the reset button located beside the
USB port.
NOTE: The device will periodically reboot itself (approximately every 30 seconds) and disconnect from the tool,
the device will reconnect and you will be taken back to this screen
7. Select your device type from the list and select Next
NOTE: If you do want to upgrade the configuration, simply select the desired configuration and select Next.
11. A summary screen will be displayed. Ensure that the desired configuration version is selected and then select
Upgrade
12. The tool will now download the firmware from the BBPOS TMS server
NOTE: If connection to the device is severed during this process, the device will remain in Bootloader Mode, and
to resolve you will have to start this process again.
14. Upon completion, the tool will alert you to a successful upgrade and will display the installed firmware
16. The issue is now resolved and you can disconnect the device from your PC
