Learning At the end of this course, the successful student will have demonstrated that s/he:
Objectives 1. applies basic principles in kinematics and kinetics to describe the variables of
interest in the engineering problems (1a),
2. uses MATLAB or equivalent computational platform to simulate the time
response and to extract quantities of interest from the dynamical system;
makes clear presentation and accurate interpretations of results obtained from
the numerical simulation (1b),
3. applies newton’s equation, energy equation and impulse momentum equations
in modeling system dynamics and be able to combine university-level
analytical geometry, vector calculus, algebra to solve the equations (1c),
4. be able to write down correct vector Newton’s equation, impulse momentum
equations and scalar energy equation in modeling the system dynamics (2b).
