Resource title: Develop a Basic 2D Platformer Game


Task/Hei Mahi
This assessment activity requires you to develop your 2D platformer game. You will be
assessed on how well you develop your game.
You will need to make a mashup game combining the following ideas into one topic:
1. A famous New Zealander – historical or mythological
2. A New Zealand place that is important to you
3. A New Zealand Activity/Animal
Develop a game which has a specific purpose and audience.
You will have 6 lessons in class to complete the game and prep time at home.
Game Requirement

Your game must have the following features:

1. Set up your Gamefroot game layout


2. Adding player controls
3. Adding collision detection using objects
4. Adding level navigations
5. Keeping Score in the game
6. Have a NPC as a movable object
7. Adding and throwing projectiles
Extras:
1. Speeds jumps, teleports and double jumps
2. A riddle NPC

You will need to download your completed game to your computer and upload it to
Schoology.
