 Reading Comprehension
 Writing Skill and Grammar
 Literature
 Each section mentioned above will be of 30 marks.

SECTION 1 (Reading Comprehension)


This section will comprise of the following: -
1) Picture Comprehension (6 marks)
2) Seen Passage (8 marks)
3) Unseen Passage (8 marks)
4) Comprehending news item/headlines, poster,
advertisement, pamphlets, etc. (8 marks)

Section 2 (Writing skill and Grammar)


This section will comprise of the following: -
1) Formal/Informal Letter (7 marks)
2) Paragraph Writing (7 marks)
3) Grammar – Nouns, Pronouns, Adjectives, Number,
Gender and Opposites and other relevant grammar
topics. (The questions can be in the form of Fill ups,
MCQs, Match the following, etc.) (16 marks)
Section 3 (Literature)
This section will comprise of the following: -
1) Two REFERENCE TO CONTEXT (One from poetry
and one from prose). (2X4=8 marks)
2) True/False, Fill in the blanks, who said to whom? ,
Match the following, Word- meaning, Make sentences,
etc. (12 marks)
3) Question – Answers. (10 marks)

NOTE:
 The paper should be both descriptive and objective
(MCQs) in nature.
 The paper should be drafted in accordance with the level
of the students.
 Revision work should be based on the above pattern.

 Circle – Calculate diameter from given radius and vice
versa; Draw a circle of given radius using a compass. (10
marks)
 Complete/ Draw patterns. (5 marks)
 Comprehend the given table/ chart. (5X2=10 marks)
 One comprehension passage based on calculations. (5
marks)
