Lab No. 1: Basic Logic Gates 1501211 Digital Logic & Microcontroller
Name: Miss. Parichika PhumikakrakID: 6515018MM Section: 2

Name: Miss, Bunthita chitsomboo ID: 658150072 Section: 2

Equipment:
1. Training/Experimental Board 1
2. IC: 7400, 7408, 7432, 7486 1/Each
3. Voltmeter 1
Note that each IC must be connected to a voltage supply and ground. For these ICs, Pin 7 must be connected
to the ground of the experimental board and Pin 14 must be connected to the voltage supply 5 volts on the
experimental board. See the ICs’ layouts shown on the last page of this lab manual.

Experiment 1: Verify the Truth Table of AND Gates

1. Put an IC7408 (AND gate) on the experimental board.
2. Connect the inputs A and B to the logic switches of the experimental board.
3. Connect the output Y to a logic monitor of the experimental board.
4. Set the logic switches connecting to the inputs A and B as shown in the table below.
5. Record the color of the LED on the logic monitor (Green→0, Red→1).
6. Use a voltmeter to measure and record the voltage across the output Y.
7. When finish, show the result to Ajarn/TA and ask for the signature.

Experiment 2: Verify the Truth Table of OR Gates
1. Put an IC7432 (OR gate) on the experimental board.
