1) Vocabulary revision: Select the odd one out

Writing practice

 Go to the “Labels” section in page 33


 We will play a game of Tutti Frutti
 Prepare a sheet of paper and a pen
 We will select 6 labels at random and then say “go!”
 You have to write one word for each category in the
labels
 when you finish you have to scream “STOP”
 Each correct word gives you points

 The student with the most points wins!

Adjectives to describe food

We can classify food into the different groups but there are also
adjectives that we use to describe how the food tastes or feels
when we eat it.

Food adjectives:

Vocabulary
 For actions and activities, there are words that we use to
describe HOW we are doing them. These are called
Adverbs of Manner. They usually have the “ly” ending

 Adverbs are similar to adjectives.


 Adjectives describe things and people.
 Adverbs describe actions.
 Many adjectives can turn into adverbs if you add a “ly”
ending after them.
Fast = Rapido – Fastly = Rapidamente
Easy = facil – Easily = facilmente
 However. not all adjectives can turn into adverbs.
alive – alively X
Argentinian – Argentinianly X

Examples:
 He plays the guitar beautifully (Beautiful + ly)
 She cleans her room quickly (Quick + ly) and then watches
