SciFinder and Reaxys Reaxys and SciFinder are complementary. Based on Beilstein (Organic) and Gmelin (Inorganic) Handbooks, Reaxys is useful for checking physical-properties data and preparation/reaction methods for pure compounds. SciFinder provides significantly more substance and bibliographic records as well as patents. SciFinder also scans far more source journals than either Beilstein or Gmelin (over 9,000) and indexes new material more rapidly.
