    SCHOOL STALL

    INFORMATION

    WHAT ARE YOU PROVIDED?

    We will have a 10X10 ft tent available for


    you. We will also provide four tables and 2
    chairs. Electricity will be available for any
    appliances you may need to bring. 5 festival
    t-shirts will be given to each school with the
    option for extra to be added with an
    additional cost.

    WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

    We encourage students to wear their


    school uniforms to represent their
    community! We also ask to make sure you
    fill out the google form you were provided
    via email to register for the competitions
    you will be participating in.

    ATOLL MARINE CENTRE


    STALL
    COMPETITION

    FOR OUR STALL COMPETITION, WE ENCOURAGE THE STUDENTS TO WEAR THEIR SCHOOL
    UNIFORMS. THIS STALL WILL BE LOOKED AT FOR DECORATION AND PRESENTATION. WE
    EXPECT THE STALL TO BE DECORATED WITH RECYCLED OR WASTE MATERIALS RATHER
    THAN NEWLY BOUGHT ONES THAT CREATE MORE WASTE. HERE YOU CAN USE YOUR
    CREATIVE SKILLS TO ADD COLOR, SCULPTURES, AND INFORMATION CONTENT. WE EXPEECT
    AT LEAST TWO OR THREE STUDENTS TO BE PRESENT AT ALL TIMES DURING THE FESTIVAL TO
    PRESENT TO GUESTS AND VISITORS. ORGANIZATION AND CONTENT WILL BE LOOKED AT
    WHEN IT COMES TO HOW THE STALL WILL BE JUDGED.

    WASTE SCULPTURE
    COMPETITION

    FOR OUR WASTE SCULPTURE COMPETITION WE EXPECT A MARINE ANIMAL TO BE MADE


    FROM RECYCLED WASTE MATERIALS. WE ENCOURAGE THIS SCULPTURE TO BE LARGE IN
    SIZE. USE YOUR CREATIVITY TO DISPLAY THE SCULPTURE AND PRESENT IT TO THE PUBLIC
    EXPLAINING WHY YOU CHOSE THAT ANIMAL, WHAT MATERIALS YOU USED, AND HOW YOU
    MADE IT.
    PLEASE SEE THE MARKING CRITERA BELOW FOR ALL COMPETITIONS FOR FURTHER
    INFORMATION.
    RECYCLED BAG
    COMPETITION

    FOR OUR RECYCLED BAG COMPETITION WE EXPECT THE BAG TO BE FULLY FUNCTIONAL
    AND LONG LASTING. THE BAG MUST BE CREATED FROM RECYCLED OR WASTE MATERIALS
    WITH AN APPEALING AND CREATIVE DESIGN. YOU CAN ALSO ADD COLORS, PICTURES,
    QUOTES, OR SLOGANS TO THE BAG AS WELL. YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER THE NUMBER OF
    BAGS YOU ARE BRINGING ON THE GOOGLE FORM. FROM THIS, WE WILL SEND YOU A LABEL
    FOR THE BAG THAT INCLUDES BASIC INFORMATION SUCH AS: WHO CREATED IT, ISLAND,
    INSTITUTION, AND CONTACT NUMBER.

    DRESS MAKING
    COMPETITION

    THIS COMPETITION IS OPTIONAL. FOR OUR RECYCLED DRESS COMPETITION, WE EXPECT THE
    DRESS TO BE FUNCTIONAL AND LONG LASTING. WE ALSO EXPECT IT TO BE MADE FROM
    RECYCLED OR WASTE MATERIALS. THE DRESS SHOULD HAVE AN APPEALING MODERN
    DESIGN.
    PLEASE SEE THE MARKING CRITERA BELOW FOR ALL COMPETITIONS FOR FURTHER
    INFORMATION.
    SAND SCULPTURE
    COMPETITION

    FOR OUR RSAND SCULPTURE COMPETITION, WE EXPECT A TURTLE TO BE MADE FROM


    SAND. HERE, WE ENCOURAGE IT TO BE MADE LARGE AND HAVE THE BEST RESEMBLANCE OF
    A SEA TURTLE. YOU CAN ALSO DECORATE THE TURTLE IN A CREATIVE WAY, WHETHER THAT
    BE SHELLS, RECYCLED MATERIALS, OR MORE.
    PLEASE SEE THE MARKING CRITERA BELOW FOR ALL COMPETITIONS FOR FURTHER
    INFORMATION.

    INFORMATION

    THIS YEAR WE ARE HOSTING A SYMPOSSIUM ON AUGUST 11TH. THIS EVENT WELCOMES
    SEVERAL NGOS THROUGHOUT THE MALDIVES TO SPEAK OUT THEIR ORGANIZATIONS
    PROJECTS. THIS EVENT ALSO AIMS TO GATHER THE NGOS TO TALK ABOUT PROBLEMS THE
    MALDIVES FACES, SOLUTIONS TO THESE PROBLEMS, AND EVENTUALLY UNITE ALL OF THE
    NGOS.

    WE WOULD LIKE TO IVITE ALL SCHOOLS TO JOIN. WE CANNOT ARRANGE TRANSPORT TO


    NAIFARU FOR THIS DAY, BUT IF YOU ARE INTEREESTED YOU CAN LET US KNOW AND WE
    CAN ASSIST IN LOGISTIC ARRANGEMENTS IF POSSIBLE.
