Editorial Process
• 1. Initial Screening: Joint Editor & either an Associate Editor or EBM.
• Preliminary assessment to determine suitability for further review.
• 2. Handling: Associate Editor.
• Quick evaluation for originality and contributions
• 3. Blind Review: two reviewers
• Collaborative critique, focusing on contribution, methodology
• 4. Recommendation: Associate Editors or Guest Editors
• 5. Final decision: Joint editors
• Revision time (R&R, reject and resubmission); timely publication
Common reasons of rejection
1. Inadequate Contribution:
• The manuscript does not significantly advance or contribute to the existing body of knowledge.
2. Methodological Problems:
• Issues in research design, execution, or analysis that compromise the study's validity.
3. Data Problems:
• Inadequate, inaccurate, or misrepresented data.
4. Theoretical Issues:
• Inconsistencies or gaps in the theoretical framework and hypotheses formulation.
5. Similarity Issues:
• Overlaps with existing publications, raising plagiarism concerns.
6. Non-Academic Writing Style:
• The manuscript does not adhere to the conventions of academic writing.
7. Out of Scope:
• The topic or approach does not align with the journal's focus or objectives.
