The Dabbler

The dabbler has some basic magic talent or training, typically focused in one sphere that is tied to his trade.
Role: A dabbler is a basic magic user, often utilizing magic tricks and abilities to get through daily chores and tasks.
Alignment: Any
Hit Die: d6
Class Skills: The dabbler's class skills are Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Knowledge (all) (Int),
Profession (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), and Survival (Wis).
Skill Ranks per Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A dabbler is proficient with all simple weapons.
Casting: A dabbler may combine spheres and talents to create magical effects. A dabbler is considered a Mid-
Caster. (Note: All casters gain 2 bonus talents and a casting tradition the first time they gain the casting class
feature.)
Spell Pool: A dabbler gains a small reservoir of energy he can call on to create truly wondrous effects, called a spell
pool. This pool contains a number of spell points equal to his class level + his casting ability modifier (minimum 1).
This pool replenishes once per day after roughly 8 hours of rest.
Magic Talents: A dabbler gains 1 magic talent every 3/4 level (at the same rate as his caster level increases),
according to Table: The Dabbler.
Focused Study: At 2nd level, the dabbler shows an innate talent towards a single sphere of magic. He gains a +1
bonus to his caster level with that sphere. This bonus does not stack with that gained from an incanter's sphere
specialization.
Deeper Study: At 5th level, the Dabbler gains Sphere Specialization in his Focused Study sphere as an incanter of his
Dabbler level - 2. This reduced level stacks with incanter levels if used for the same sphere specialization.

The Tinkerer

The tinkerer is a talented or trained tradesman.


Role: A tinkerer mixes magic and expertise to solve the troubles of the day or practice a trade.
Alignment: Any
Hit Die: d8
Class Skills: The tinkerer’s class skills are Acrobatics (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha),
Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (all) (Int), Perception (Wis), Perform (Cha), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis),
Spellcraft (Int), Use Magic Device (Cha).
Skill Ranks per Level: 4 + Int modifier.

bucklers. In addition, if this is this character's first level in any class, they may select a martial tradition of their
choice.
Casting: A tinkerer may combine spheres and talents to create magical effects. A tinkerer is considered a Low-
Caster. (Note: All casters gain 2 bonus talents and a casting tradition the first time they gain the casting class
feature.)

The brute is a talented or trained warrior.


Role: A brute uses force or martial skill to ply his trade, whether that trade is a town watchman, hired
muscle, tavern bouncer, or competitive pugilist.
Alignment: Any
Hit Die: d10
Class Skills: The brute's class skills are Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Knowledge (local) (Int),
Perception (Wis), Profession (Wis), Survival (Wis), Swim (Str).
Skill Ranks per Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A brute is proficient with all simple weapons, as well as light armor and
bucklers. In addition, if this is this character's first level in any class, they may select a martial tradition of
their choice.
Combat Training: The brute may combine spheres and talents to create powerful martial techniques.
Brutes are considered Adept combatants. When they gain their first level in the brute class, they may
choose either Charisma, Intelligence or Wisdom as their practitioner modifier.
Focused Technique: At 2nd level, the brute shows an innate talent towards a single sphere of combat. He
treats his base attack bonus and hit dice as 1 higher when determining the benefits and effects of his
chosen sphere. This bonus has the same limitations as, and does not stack with, the bonus gained from
conscript's Sphere Specialization.
Improved Technique: At 5th level, the brute gains Sphere Specialization in his Focused Technique sphere as
a conscript of his brute level - 2. This reduced level stacks with conscript levels if used for the same sphere
specialization.
