Total Marks: 3600 (Per Semester Six Courses, each course carrying 100 marks out of which 60
marks are for Theory Assessment and 40 marks are for Internal Assessment. Total
Four Credit Points for each 100 marks for Compulsory Courses and Four Credit Points
for each 100 marks for Elective Courses as per scheme of Programme, Examination
and Credit points and Assessments Methods.

N.B. 1) Course Discipline subject in the Program of BA Civil Services is General Studies and as per CBCS norms
there should be minimum 12 courses of Discipline subjects, which we are meeting by bifurcating General studies as
GS Paper –I and GS Paper –II.
1) For seeking admission in Post Graduate Programmes, there should be minimum 14 credit points in the elective
subjects.Students seeking admission in Post Graduate programmes in above elective courses are expected for
detailed study in the specific area. Hence the credit points of elective courses are enhancing from 2 credit points to 4
credit points.
2) Total credit points are 144 which is more than the minimum requirement of 120 credits for the BA Civil Services
Programme (40 credit points in each year).

3) Generic Elective Courses (GEC) in Sem-II ,Sem-IV and Sem-VI will have Total Marks 50 . Total Credit Points
in these semesters under this category will be 2 (Two) which will be treated as additional credit points.The exams
for GEC will be conducted by the colleges itself and Colleges will have to submit the documents of successful
completion of GEC by each student to the University.
4) Internship of 4 (Four) weeks once during the whole Program is Mandatory . However Students have to complete
their internship either at the end of 4th semester or 6th semester only.Internship completed by students should be
communicated to the Exam dept.of the University without fail.Colleges have to take care of it.
