HCL Technologies Ltd., Chennai. TN, India. (www.hcl.in) June 2005 – Till Date
Designation: Software Engineer - Servers & Storage Division.
Projects:
 Web interface for NAS Gateway: Designed and implemented the Web interface for
ONStor® NAS gateway (ONStor Inc., CA, USA; www.onstor.com). . The web UI will
serve as a platform independent user interface. The software uses xmlHTTPRequest
(Ajax) for communication with the gateway. Responsible for developing the framework
and carrying out the setup and testing of the web-interface.
 iSCSI Management Layer Development: The iSCSI stack is developed to manage the
target and initiator communication of the ONStor device. A management interface for
iSCSI daemon is developed for configuring and managing the iSCSI stack. Designed and
developed a XML parser with multi byte support to send and receive client requests. Also
developed the CLI for iSCSI management commands.
 CLI Refractoring: The CLI used for NAS Gateway management is being refractored to
bring uniformity in validation, communication and generation of output. Involved in
design and development of a “Parsing Library” to streamline all validations and
communication activities of CLI. (Current Project)

 Automatic Level Detection and Remote Control: Designed a capacitive sensor and
implemented remote motor control at Salzer Electronics, Coimbatore. (UG Project)
 Water Level controller and Level Indicator: Designed a control system for water level
detection and display of current level using ADC. (Class Project)

ACTIVITIES:
 Placement Coordinator: Responsible for interacting with company personnel and
facilitating the campus placements. Involved in training of students for job interviews.
 Editor: Edited and published the annual department magazine for 3 consecutive years.
Also served as the editor for the proceedings of the ‘National conference’ held at GCT
(March 2005).
 Student coordinator: One of the student coordinators for the ‘2nd National Conference
on Electrical and Instrumentation Systems’ held at GCT (March 2005)
 Involved in activities such as blood donation, taking classes in orphanages and
implementation of an annual scholarship in the department on behalf of the year 2005
batch.
