    I. ACTIVITY TITLE: GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT, CAREER DEVELOPMENT, DRUG


    ADDICTION, AND ANTI-BULLYING ACT SEMINAR /WORKSHOP

    II. RATIONALE:

    The Department of Education particularly the Division of Agusan del Sur, Prosperidad
    District V, New Visayas Elementary School is promoting the wholesome development of
    each individual through this activity. The GAD (GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT) have been
    initiated which aims to develop perspective and process that are participatory and
    empowering equitable, sustainable, free from violence, respectful of human rights,
    supportive of self-determination and actualization of human capabilities and potentials.
    This program is design to eradicate the gender stereotype-a form of prejudgment,
    bias, or limitation given to roles and expectations of males and females. In this manner, the
    target audience will be acquainted and will respond to the roles that both genders should
    possess.
    Eventually through this program it will result to enormous impact due to the
    trainings and awareness conducted by school or any related institution as it continues the
    goal of GAD.

    III. OBJECTIVES:

    At the end of this training, the teachers are expected to:


    a. To enhance the understanding of participants on Gender and
    Development (GAD) concepts and its importance to governance;
    b. To raise awareness on the importance of gender equality as a variable
    in the development process;
    c. To deepen their appreciation of gender-related governance issues,
    and concerns
    IV. METHODOLOGY

    This activity is part of DepEd’s program in promoting an awareness/understanding of


    GAD (Gender and Development among all teachers. The three days’ activities are to be done
    by teachers themselves so that their working skills will be honed in preparation for their
    day-to-day activities.
