RONALDINHO GAUCHO
Ronaldo de Assis Moreira,
better known as Ronaldinho
Gaucho, is a world-famous
Brazilian soccer player. He has
played for many teams,
including Paris Saint Germain
(France), Barcelona (Spain) and,
since 2008, Inter Milan, where
he helped this team qualify for
the Italian Champions League
in the 2009-2009 season. 2010.
In the process he has become
one of the most important
soccer players of this decade.
Ronaldinho's soccer skills began to
show through in his childhood, as he
became increasingly enthusiastic
about futsal (a soccer game with
fewer players, mainly indoors) and
beach soccer, later moving on to
professional soccer. He first attracted
media attention when he was just 13
years old, after scoring 23 goals
against a local team. A few years later,
Ronaldinho emerged as a rising star
at the 1997 Egypt Under-17 World
Youth Championship, where he
scored twice, both from penalties.

For four years Ronaldinho played for


the Gremio de Porto Alegre and
evolved as a footballer. Apart from
obtaining excellent results with his
team, he triumphed with the
Canarinha team in the 1999 Copa
América. In this tournament he was
also chosen as the best player after
scoring six goals, one of them against
Venezuela and still remembered by
his followers thanks to his
extraordinary beauty and
spectacularity.
In 2001, and after even participating
in the Sydney Olympic Games,
Ronaldinho had seasons of triumphs
in his country's soccer behind him
and decided to leave Brazil to make
an international leap and join a
European team. Various clubs choose
to sign him until he decides on the
prestigious Paris Saint Germain, a
classic in the French league.

Ronaldinho's stay in France is not as


perfect from the start as one might
expect given his fame in Brazil. Some
administrative problems prevented
him from making his team debut
right away and, when he managed to
do so, he had various confrontations
with his coach at the time, Luís
Fernández.
In the summer of 2003, the board of
the Fútbol Club Barcelona, ​headed by
its president Joan Laporta and Sandro
Rossell (Barcelona vice president and
one of his best friends), managed to
sign Ronaldinho for 25 million euros.
He becomes number 10 on the team
and manages to display his best
football to restore the lost illusion of
the Barça fans, who hope to win great
national and international titles
thanks to his spectacular football
filigree.
