Business Need and Objective:


Business Case: To prioritize development of projects in the sectors of power, railways, urban
irrigation, mobility, education, and health. Government has decided to build a Web-based
information system to track the key metrics involved in managing the infrastructure projects
portfolio.
Problem Statement: Enable the respective ministries to monitor project-related numbers and
execution for each state and region by web-based solution.

Objective: Deploy CRM system with current and potential sectors and states/regions by Feb
01’2022
Project Scope:
In- Scope: To create a CRM system for multiple projects and sectors with the feature of report
generation. Reports to be generated on project level, sector level, state level and region level.
Out of Scope: Mobile Application of the Information system.
Risks:
1. Data discrepancy due to large number of projects.
2. Delay due to involvement of multiple consultants and obtaining periodic relevant data
from government organizations.
3. Packaged software and a customized software need to be handled separately during the
development can lead to some delay.
Assumptions:
1. Data provided to consultants is verified and approved by the respective ministry.
2. Data for all projects provided by the ministry shall be uploaded.
3. Website shall continue to function even if redesigning is required.

Tentative Project Budget: Rs 5.54 lakh crore (5,540 billion Indian Rupees)
