MOST IMPORTANT HAZARDS
Adverse human health effects : Causes serious eye irritation.
A high level of dusts causes irritation of throat and cough
Ingestion in large quantities may cause gastric disorders (even
methemoglobinemia in babies)
Environmental effects : In case of large accidental release, may cause an eutrophication of surface water,
or eventually a contamination of the subsurface water
Physical and chemical hazards

When exposed to high temperatures, these fertilisers can melt and decompose,
releasing toxic by-products (NOx, NH3)
May detonate when mixed with organic or reducing materials (see chapter 10)
May feed a combustion even in the absence of air
May decompose or explode if two of the three following criteria are met : heat, great
containment, contamination (in particular by organic materials)
Classification of the product : According to CLP regulation, this product is classified as :
Ox. Sol. 3 ; H272
Eye Irrit. 2 ; H319
According to European regulations (67/548/EEC & 1999/45/EC), this product is
