About the Faculty

Dr. Showkat Ahmad Wani, is serving as Assistant Professor, School of Law, Narsee Monjee Institute of
Management Studies Bengaluru, India. He has completed his LLB degree from University of Kashmir (J &K). He
joined Indian Law Society (ILS) Pune Maharashtra for LLM. After completion of LLM, he further completed his
Ph.D from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). He has so far written 29 research papers in various reputed journals
including Scopus Index Journals. He has also presented more than 37 research papers at various National and
International Conferences. His key research areas include Constitutional law, Human rights, Muslim Law. Dr.
Wani has also contributed to valuable legal assistance to the undertrial prisoners in collaboration with Tata
Institute of Social Science (India).
Dr. Showkat Ahmad Wani has 4 years of teaching experience and 4.5 years research experience. Dr. Wani is very
keen in Research and Human Rights & also strong believer in the power of positive thinking in the workplace. Dr.
Wani is also guiding 4 Research Scholars from the last three years. Also, under Dr. Showkat, 8 LLM Students has
completed their dissertation.
