Developing a PowerPoint Presentation:


Presentation
Select a Presentation Type::
There are many types of presentations but keep in mind there are always two parties
involved one is presenter and the other is audience, each with a special need or desire. In
order to deliver effective presentations, you should focus on the audience needs.

Internal Meeting Presentations

Boardroom Presentation

Sales Presentations

Elevator Pitch Presentation – Short


Short presentation of less than two minutes of your business,
product or idea that influence the other person to say, “Tell me more”.

View and Navigate a Presentation:


Presentation
Navigate Using the Scroll Bar

1. Click the View tab.


2. Click Normal.
3. Click and drag the scroll barr to scroll through slides.
4. Click the Next Slide button ( ) to display the next slide.
5. Click the Previous Slide button ( ) to display the previous slide.

Navigate Using the Slide Thumbnail Pane

1. Click and drag the scroll bar to move through the slides.
2. Click a slide thumbnail. The selected slide appears in the Slide pane.

Navigate Using the Outline View

1. Click Outline View.


2. Click and drag the scroll bar to move through the slides.
3. Click a slide icon ( ). The selected slide appears in the Slide
Slid pane.

Navigate in Slide Sorter View

1. Click Slide Sorter. Slide Sorter view appears.


2. Click and drag the scroll bar to move through the slides.
3. Click a slide.

Edit Text:
1. Click anywhere within a title, subtitle, or text placeholder.
2. Click the existing text where you want to change it. The insertion point appears where you
clicked. You can press to delete text to the left, or press to delete text to the right of the
insertion point.
3. Press Backspace on keyboard.
4. Type any text you want to add
5. Click and drag over one or more words. To select a single word, double click in the middle of
it.
6. Press Delete on the Keyboard. PowerPoint deletes the selected text.

Build a Presentation:
While planning your presentation, consider how to organize information on each slide to
support and convey your message. PowerPoint comes with many wonderful layouts that
contain different arrangements of various types of information such as text, charts, or
images. Your presentation will probably include a variety of slide layouts, which saves you
the time and trouble of designing slides from scratch.
