    SITE INSPECTION Status: Approved

    This checklist is used to help inspect inside Mphohlo Investment construction site for common
    problems, it is not an exhaustive list of item and will not cover all hazards on all sites. It can be
    completed in a single inspection or over a series of shorter inspections and you can use the blank
    boxes to add in additional items that you want to check or you come across.

    01 Do workers have a safe route to their work place?
    02 Is the site tidy and well laid out
    03 Are welfare facilities (toilets, eating area, change room)
    adequate and kept clean
    04 Are first aid facilities in place and workers know where
    they are?
    05 Have the workers instructed or trained on manual lifting
    and handling ?
    06 Are toolbox talks conducted at least once a week?
    07 Are electrical tools inspected and maintained frequently?

    08 Are the motor vehicles checked every day by the driver?


    09 Are fall protections in place to prevent workers and
    objects from falling?
    10 Does the team knows about the hazards associated with
    each task? (Take 5 completed and signed)
    11 Is there a line of communication in case of emergency
    (emergency contacts)?
    12 Does the workforce demonstrate good housekeeping
    during work and after work?
    13 Are all people on site wearing the appropriate PPE?
    14 Does the work quality meet standards, specifications,
    requirements and client satisfaction?
    15 Are environmental procedures followed during waste
    disposals?
    16 Are supervisors spending much of their time on site?
    17 Are appropriate signs in place? e.g. Public notifications,
    caution signs, authorized personnel & PPE.
