Research Intern ( Master thesis)

Corbellati Automobili CORBELLATI Hypercars
Feb 2021 – July 2021 Prague, Czech Republic
Project Title – Design of 12V and 400V Lithium-Ion Battery Pack for an Electric Vehicle with Immersive Cooling
Description – The following master's thesis objective was developing a 12V and 400V lithium-ion immersive cooled battery. Lithium-ion
batteries were explicitly designed for a Classic Mini Cooper. The Design and manufacture of the 12V battery and the modelling of the 400V
battery for heat generation and SOC curve were all part of this thesis project. To obtain the heat generation data and SOC curve, a battery
model was created in MATLAB Simulink. The heat exchanger was designed with 3M Novec 7200 cooling fluid based on heat generation.

Graduate Engineer Trainee

J.K Tyres & Industries https://www.jktyre.com/
Feb 2018 – May 2019 Haridwar, India
Worked as an engineer in the Mechanical maintenance department and was looking after Banbury mixers by KOBELCO, Triplex extruder by
Krauss Maffei Berstoff, Duplex extruders by Harburg- Freudenberger, and 4Roll Calendar by IHI. We were responsible for any Preventive,
Corrective, and Predictive maintenance, including:-
• Maintaining machine history records and predictive maintenance reports like oil analysis, vibration measurement, and clearance data.
• Preparation and presentation of the Maintenance report, Why Why analysis sheet, OPL & Action plan to reduce the breakdown
• Accountability for minimizing MTTR (Mean time to repair ) & MTBF ( mean time between failures )

INTERN
HERO MotoCorp
June 2016 – July 2016 Haridwar, India
Project Title: Optimization of tool life of Robo Drill ( Cylinder Block line )
Description: The primary purpose of this project was to optimize the tool life of drill bit 3.75mm and reduce tool breakage. This, in turn, leads
to an increase in productivity and cost reduction.

EDUCATION
Masters in Automotive Engineering (Specialization in Advanced Powertrains)
Czech Technical University https://www.cvut.cz/en
Sept 2019 – Sept 2021 Prague, Czech Republic
This study program trained me in designing motor vehicles, combustion engines, and powertrain components. Design of automatic and manual
transmission including planetary gearboxes and its components were key focus of the course. Moreover Hybrid powertrains were also studied in
great detail which included power split drives and fully electric drives and their calculations. The necessary knowledge is extended in mechanics of
multibody systems, computational fluid dynamics, design of tools and plastic parts, microelectronics, CAD, suspension design, economy,
management, and experimental methods specific to the automotive field.

Bachelor's in Automotive Design Engineering

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies
July 2013 – May 2017 Dehradun, India
The curriculum included courses in automotive engineering, vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics, applied fluid mechanics, material science,
manufacturing and computer aided design (CAD). Main focus of the course was on design of automotive components such as suspension,
steering geometry, engine components and powertrain design.

PROJECTS AND TRAINING

Analysis of flow over Turbocharger and optimization for inlet pressure and output
In the project, a 3-dimensional (3-D) real flow analysis was done of a car's Turbocharger. The 3-D model of the parts of the turbocharger
impeller and casing was made in CATIA V5. The fluid flow analysis was done in the Ansys Fluent. The model was first generated using
the data and then meshed in the Ansys, and then various pressure and velocity contours, turbo maps were drawn to analyse the fluid
flow through the Turbocharger.

Aerosphere, UPES (April' 15 – April' 16)

Structural design and Analysis certification course which covered mainly product design including various modules of CATIA and Ansys.

COMPETITION

SAE EFFICYCLE-2015
The SAE Efficycle 2015 was a competition that presented the Under Graduate & Post Graduate Engineering Students with the task of
designing, modeling, and fabricating a Human-powered electric vehicle.
Status: All India Rank - 4, Won Best Innovation and Most Light Weight Vehicle Award .

E-bike Racing Challenge-2015

LPU,Jalandhar organized India's First Electric bike racing challenge. This was an eco-friendly Competition based on the Engineering
design and manufacturing of Electric Bikes entirely by the students. The Bike was a single-seated vehicle powered by a D.C. power
source that ran efficiently on all roads.

Methodology for Mesh Type and Mesh Density

International Journal of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (Vol III Issue II )
http://www.ijamejournals.com/pdf/rpm161110.pdf
The objective was to identify the effect of mesh density on the solution for a particular analysis. More the mesh density, more would be
the accuracy, but there are different type mesh elements, so how to decide which one to choose or what would be the thumb rule to
decide this. So, this research is done to identify the thumb rule for selecting meshing elements.
