    PRAYERS
    August 6
    WELS Congregational Services – Lord Jesus, thank you for guiding our congregations to serve our
    communities with the gospel. We also thank you for leading your people to sacrifice individual
    preferences to serve precious souls. We appreciate the privilege of playing a role in your gospel-sharing
    efforts and pray that you would continue to allow us to serve people in a way that is pleasing to
    you as you build your Church. Amen.

    August 13
    Home mission in Idaho Falls, Idaho – Lord God, we thank you for the blessing of a new home mission
    start in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This small core group of believers is excited about reaching their
    predominantly Mormon community for Jesus. Give them patience as they wait for you to lead
    the right person at the right time to be their first pastor. Grant success to their efforts to the glory
    of your name. Amen.

    August 20
    WELS schools – Lord Jesus, you are the source of all wisdom and knowledge. We ask your blessing
    upon our Lutheran schools as students return to their classrooms to learn more about the truths of
    your Word for this world. Encourage and equip all who teach and all who learn so that your name
    is glorified and your people edified. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

    August 27
    Vietnam – Lord of the nations, it is your desire to see the message of the gospel reach the ends of the earth.
    Bless the plans of the Hmong Fellowship Church in Vietnam and grant success to the efforts of the
    missionaries, pastors, and members as they carry out your Great Commission. We thank you for the building
    that you have provided where present and future generations can study the Scriptures. Use the Theological
    Education Center to train leaders who can share your grace and peace with the Hmong people. We boldly
    make this request in the name of Jesus. Amen.
