Notes
1. Only Inspection qualified welder shall be engaged for the job.
2. Mech Maint. to ensure that MOC and Schedule of pipes issued to fabrication contractor should be as per
piping specification.
3. E 7018 electrodes should be baked at 250°C for atleast 1 hour prior to start of welding.
4. Piping, fittings and consumables to be offered for inspection prior to the start of the fabrication for MOC
check, visual inspection.
5. Bakeout shall be carried out prior to cutting of weld joint. (For Inspector’s reference only – See table on
next page for thickness/service based bakeout cycle selection)
6. Socket weld shall be welded with minimum of 2 run weld.
7. For socket weld expansion gap of 1.5 mm to be provided between the fittings and pipe.
8. Welding grade argon gas having purity minimum 99.995% should be used.
9. Commercially available paste/spray pickling & passivation system shall be used.
10. Paint batch certificate (specifying RAL color code for F-2) & paint containers to be submitted/ offered for
Inspection approval.
