PRELUDE: Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen! May we have your attention

comfortable and enjoy the rest of the day/evening.

A very good/pleasant day/evening to each and every one and welcome

to_______________________________ 80th Birthday Party. We would like to
thank everyone for gracing this very momentous occasion because as they say,”
you only get to be 80 once.”

INTRODUCTION OF THE FAMILY OF THE CELEBRATOR:

But before we go on, it is my great honor to introduce all his special guests
for tonight.

The family members. Without them, her life would be empty and unhappy.
Let us all give a big round of applause to honor the people whom she truly loves.

Tonight calls for a grand celebration and it is our distinct pleasure to

introduce to you, the reason why we are all gathered here tonight, ladies and
gentlemen, let me call on Ms/Mr. (Anak) _______________________________,
her daughter/son, to give a brief description of the celebrator’s life,

ANAK: Summing up our mother’s life, I keep coming back to one thought. Never
will you meet a man/woman who more faithfully lived his values.

Our dad/mom is a teacher of all things. His/her method was simple. He/she
taught by example. At any age, when faced with an ethical dilemma, after
reflection, study, or even rationalization, I find myself coming back to one simple
question. What would Dad/mom do? His/her character is the foundation of my
conscience. His/her teachings are endless.

Daddy/mommy is strong in body, spirit, and in commitment. He/she was

self-made and self-reliant. From his/her education to his/her career, from his/her
skill, our Dad/mom engaged with the world as a man/woman who would be its
master. He/she never let another man/woman down. He/she fulfilled every
obligation he ever undertook. He is responsible and has a quiet dignity, respecting
himself the way he respected others.

With these, we are proud to say, “We have the best Dad in this world!”

celebrator, Mr. Benedicto R. Lim.

WELCOME REMARKS/TOAST:

And now to give a speech and a toast in honor of our birthday celebrator, we
would like to ask her beloved husband, _______________________, on the stage.

HUSBAND: I want to raise a glass to an absolute lady, a loving wife, an amazing

mom, and an incredible friend. Words cannot express the way we feel toward you
as you continue to radiate your happiness to each and every one of us. You truly
are an example of what success is and, on that note, Ladies and gentlemen, I
would like us all to raise a glass to wish my wife a happy birthday!

Thank you, everyone, At this moment, are you ready to move and groove? Di ko
po kayo marinig, are you ready to move and groove? Ladies and gentlemen,
here’s a dance number from our celebrant’s granddaughters! Let’s put our hands

That was indeed a lovely performance!

GAME ONE: We will proceed to our next program which is GAME Number One.

PRAYER OF GRACE

We are nearing the most awaited part of the evening, dinner… but before
we partake of the sumptuous buffet that has been provided for us, may we now
call on Mr./Ms. ___________________________________ to say grace.

Father, when we think of your goodness and faithfulness each day; we're
convinced that is it not by who or what we do. It is solely by your grace that we
are who we are and can do all that we do. We are very grateful for the celebrant.

We are grateful for how far you've brought her. We are grateful for 80 years of
life and love. We are grateful you've put her in our lives, to remind us of you
always. For these and many more, we are thankful.

Thank you for today it’s a success already. We speak your tranquility and
knowledge in all of our activities today. Amen.

"How is everybody doing so far? Is everybody happy? Is everyone also hungry?
(Yes!) There you go. Don’t worry folks, we wouldn’t be delaying your delicious
dinner any further.

(We will be calling on the table numbers. Once your table is called, please join
Ma’am (birthday celebrant) __________________ on stage for your photo session
with her. Have your photo taken with her and then you can go directly to the
buffet tables.

BLOWING OF CANDLES:

Let me share another good-to-know trivia to everyone on how birthday cakes and
candles came about as a tradition during birthdays. Some believe that the
tradition of birthday candles began in Ancient Greece. Putting candles on a cake
was a special way to pay tribute to the Greek moon goddess, Artemis. They baked
round cakes to symbolize the moon. Candles were added to represent the
reflected moonlight. Today’s tradition of making wishes before blowing out the
birthday candles may have started with that belief.

Enough of all those did-you-know trivia because at this part of the program, our
Birthday celebrant ma’am ___________________________ will blow out the
candles on her birthday cake. And to complete that customary practice, let us all
sing joyfully a song I am very sure everybody is familiar with, the happy birthday
song!

Of course, aside from being kind and a responsible wife, mother, grandma, sister,

memorable occasion. And if there’s one person here tonight who is more than
grateful to see all of you, that would be our beloved celebrator, Ma’am
____________________________. I’m giving the floor to our dear celebrator to
give her message to all of us.
