1. Discuss the importance of managing control in an organization. What are the essential
factors/nature of control that needs to be considered by an administrator and discuss
how these affects and/or contribute to the leadership and organizational
management?

Answer:
The main goal of management control systems is to assist organizations in achieving
their objectives by giving leaders the knowledge they need to make intelligent choices and
take the necessary actions. Additionally, it aids in ensuring that risks are properly handled
and that resources are used effectively and efficiently. Organizations can boost their
performance overall, increase transparency and accountability, and improve their decision-
making processes by putting in place a management control system.

Administrators or leaders should considered the following factors while putting in place a
management control system inside the organization:

1. Planning
2. Action
3. Delegation of Authority
4. Information
Planning offers a framework for an organization's members to carry out their duties in
accordance with the established goals. Lack of planning can lead to uncertainty inside an
organization. Planning makes an organization more efficient since it can help assure optimal
output at the lowest possible cost. Planning aids in reducing future uncertainty for the
organization and assists in reducing risks related to business. In order to manage
organizational future goals, action is crucial in all organizations.
Action is about putting a plan into motion and seeing that it is completed. In order to
reach outputs that are in line with the objectives of the organization as a whole, one must
first identify the projects and results that are crucial. Then, one must use the resources at
hand to accomplish these goals. In order to get results, action successfully aids in managing
and implementing various change inside the firm. It gave the company the flexibility to
manage uncertainty, adjust to shifting priorities, and function productively in a dynamic
environment.
Delegation of authority is an essential component of management control in order for
the organization to operate efficiently within the organization. In this part, leaders identify
people's strengths and weaknesses and can automatically delegate the appropriate person
based on those strengths and weaknesses within the organization, which would be that
person's knowledge, experiences, and capabilities in relation to the organization's goals and
objectives.
Then finally, information. Through effective communication, individuals within the
organization can work together, cooperate with one another more successfully, and achieve
the goals and objectives of the organization. A leader can immediately engage the
workforce if they want to implement a new strategy within the company. Additionally, it is
straightforward for the leader to convey to the group his or her plans and judgments.

2. Would you rather work in an organization with a Theory X, Theory Y, or Theory Z style
of leadership? Give reasons for your preference.
Answer:
My preference is to work with Theory Y because it provides everyone in the
organization with many options. Theory Y encourages individuals within the organization to
develop greater originality and ownership over their work. Additionally, it creates strong
bonds among all of the group members and fosters a spirit of cooperation with others so
that everyone in the organization can work together effectively. By achieving their goals and
success through appropriate direction from their leaders, it helps employees inside the
organization to grow more each day. It exudes positivity for everyone working for the
organization.

Leaders that are more sincere, passionate, easier to work with, relatable and
charming, and capable of actually understanding the organization's members may inspire
and make them feel safe. Working with motivational leaders can inspire others, resulting in
effective management and successful outputs that will lead to success. It encourages
employees both inside and outside the organization to work closely together in order to
generate excellent results.

4. Describe 3 theories of leadership and provide examples for each. If possible, present
localized and situational examples in each.
Answer:
The goal of the transformational leadership philosophy is to inspire and motivate
others to realize their maximum potential. This strategy entails having high standards and
giving people the freedom to own their work.
One example of a transformational leader is Dr. Ramir B. Uytico, the former regional
director of Dep.Ed. Region 8. Through his skills and experiences, he turned the Department
of Education in Region 8 into one of the most successful organizations in the Philippines in
terms of education. His responsibility is to motivate and exhort all of the educators as well
as students to succeed by working hard and showing persistence.
The trait theory contends that certain fundamental qualities or features make
certain persons more suited for leadership roles than others. According to this idea, leaders
should possess traits like intellect, self-assurance, tenacity, and honesty. Since they are
perceived to be constant across time and in many circumstances, these traits are essential
components of a leader's personality.
Mother Teresa of Calcutta, for example, is considered as a remarkable leader because to his
high moral standards, unwavering commitment to non-violence, and ability to inspire
people to take action.
According to the behavioral theory of leadership, a leader's conduct has the most
influence on their effectiveness. This concept stresses what a leader really does, rather than
on their inherent traits or attributes.
Successful leaders are able to motivate their teams, effectively communicate with their
subordinates, and build strong relationships with them. For instance, Senator Miriam
Defensor Santiago was a leader who exemplified these qualities via her powerful speeches
and ability to inspire others to take action.

5. React on this: Are Leaders Born or Made? Discuss and justify your answer.
Answer:
Both are important to me because I believe that leaders are created, not just born.
They are made due of many factors and they became leaders because of the experiences,
trainings, and diverse practices that they had undertaken towards their leadership journey.
They are born because they gain significant factors like their talent and abilities. For me,
leaders can be created or be born.

6. If given the opportunity to be a school administrator, what kind of leader are you?
What styles, theories, principles, and philosophies on educational leadership are you
going to apply and lived by? Present your philosophy of educational leadership.

Answer:
If given the opportunity, I would like to demonstrate democratic leadership in a
school environment. A democratic leader that are passionate and charismatic that energize
the populace by motivating them. Using the platform, I could interact with and include
others who might not be as active in the working process. As a result, I may develop a
sizable base of supporters who will help me lead my efforts for change. According to my
understanding, democratic leader holds considerable influences. This authority derives from
the leader's capacity to inspire and encourage others. Setting a clear vision, then
empowering, and motivating people to realize that he / she is working its people. That they
have the capacity to forge agreement and bring people together to solve difficulties. Then
showing trust and respect to the organization. That give all the members of the organization
equal rights and opportunities to achieve more towards success. I will employ both
progressivism and essentialism views in my role as a school administrator since I am a leader who is
responsible for giving my teachers continual support and opportunity for professional growth, as
well as for assessing progress and making adjustments as necessary. By doing this, I may contribute
to the development of a unified and productive learning environment that also represents their
preferred educational philosophy.
