SCRIPT UNIT 5: LESSON B / EXERCISE 2
I study Marketing in a private school. All of our activities are oriented to foster curiosity and creativity. For
example, we always take pictures in our way home to share with our class. We sometimes talk about community
problems and how to solve them. We also have regular classes like Math and Computer Science every day. The
school principal visits our classroom only 1 or 2 times during the course. But the best is: we don’t have any tests.
Teachers assign a project and they evaluate our progress. At the end of each semester, we show our projects to
the school community.

things on Facebook. But when I have no internet, it’s a tragedy!
SPEAKER 3: My sister and I always go camping on vacation, I also like horseback riding. My Instagram is full of
photos of our camping trips. I am always working, so I enjoy relaxing that way!

Welcome to the National Photo Library in the beautiful city of Pachuca, Hidalgo. The library is home of the
Casasola Archive, a vast collection of photos that reflect the reality of Mexican life between the years 1900 and
1970. The Casasola collection is the product of the work of Agustín Vïctor Casasola, a dedicated photographer
and his family. The most famous part of the collection are the pictures they took during the Mexican Revolution,
but the archive contains valuable images of contemporary life in Mexico that the Casasola family made. I think
you saw the notice at the entrance, please remember not to bring food or drinks to the interior of the place.
Now please, if you follow me...
SCRIPT UNIT 10: LESSON D / EXERCISE 2
Dear diary: I wrote a short instruction manual for my English class homework. I wanted something really easy,
so my manual’s title was “How to make a cup of coffee”. I thought it was super easy. I wrote the instructions on
a piece of paper, took coffee, sugar and went to class. The teacher asked me to show the rest of the class. I read
the instructions and I showed the coffee and sugar to my classmates... but I couldn’t make the coffee! Why?
Because I didn’t have the cup! I forgot the cup at home! Everyone in class laughed and my teacher added one
more instruction to my paper: “Make sure you have a cup!”
I went to visit my best friend (1) Monica. She insisted in me going to see her new apartment, so I arrived to the
bus stop at 10:00 a.m. and everything went bad from there. First, my friend arrived and it (2) was raining, so we
went into a bookstore. Inside, I tried to buy a book, but it (3) was impossible: bad weather had interrupted the
internet connection and my car didn’t (4) work. Then, it stopped raining and we tried to get a taxi, which took
us 20 minutes! When we finally (5) got to her apartment, my friend looked at me with horror: she (6) forgot the
apartment keys at the bookstore! We finally (7) went back there and got the keys, but it was late and I had to go
home. It was a really bad day!
