1.Overview
HAMCB (Logic Control Board) as the core of the elevator control system and uses serial
communication system of high reliability to closely connect all parts of the elevator. The drive
part adopts the high-precision vector frequency transformation technology which makes the
elevator run more stably and comfortably; besides, the smooth and compact appearance is
visually striking.
In the HAMCB, there are four module subsystems, namely:
OCSS (Operation Control Subsystem)
MCSS (Movement Control Subsystem)
DCSS (Door Control Subsystem)
DBSS (Drive and Brake Subsystem)

2 Check the running condition under inspection mode

Note: Before starting the slow run, all mechanical parts have been debugged; refer to
relevant installation manual for details.

2.1 Check of Controller

Open the controller, and check whether the connection of components is loosen or damaged
and keep the files of the elevator well. Besides, replace damaged components and tighten all
joints inside of the control cupboard. Pay special attention to the power supply wires, motor
wires and brake resistance wires during tightening.

2.2 Check of Wiring

According to the connection graph, check PVT wire, temporary connection of trailing cable and
temporary connection of limit switches and check that ground wires of all equipments are relia-
bly connected to earth terminal.

2.3 Check of Insulation

Disconnect connection between the ground wire and HL, pull out all plugs on HAMCB and all
plugs related to door zone, call, directive and display signals, and set all air switches on the
position of “OFF”; then use an insulation meter to measure the insulation resistance value of the
ground wire and HL, power supply wire, motor power wire, safety circuit, control circuit,
band-type brake coil, door machine and two ends of the lighting, make sure that the insulation
resistance value conforms to the specified one and finally reconnect ground wires and plugs on
the HAMCB board.

Circuit Allowed Insulation Resis-

tance
Power Circuit and Safety Circuit ≥ 0.5MΩ
Control Circuit (including door machine), lighting cir- ≥ 0.5MΩ
cuit and signal circuit

Attention: when testing the insulation resistance, make sure to pull out the plug on
the electronic board to avoid damaging the board.

2.4 Check the Input Voltage

Cut off the main power air switch and other air switches in the controller, check if the
three-phase input voltage is in the regulation range(±10%), adjust the connection of the
transformer input terminal in accordance with the actual input voltage(If the input voltage is less
than 370V,connect 360V Interface;if the input voltage si between 371V~390V, connect 380V
Interface; ;if the input voltage si between 391V~410V, connect 400V Interface; If the input vol-
tage is larger than 410V,connect 415V Interface), check if the voltage (lighting voltage) of the
two ends of C16 and C17 on the terminal strip is 220V±10% and check if the power indicator on
the drive component works normally (The indicator is in the hole under the P2 opening of
HAMCB board).

2.5 Check of Control Transformer Output Voltage

Turn on the main power air switch, check if the output voltage of the transformer matches with
the voltage on the drawing (under the condition that the input voltage meets requirements,
±10% discrepancy of transformer output is allowed).

3 Check of Inspection Mode HAMCB Power On

3.1 Check of HAMCB Input/Output Voltage
Cut off power supply, pull out all plugs on HAMCB board, close the air switch CP2 and then
use a multimeter to measure pin 1 and pin 2 of P7 plug on the HAMCB board to see whether
the voltage is DC24V±10%, if not, check the connection of the terminals LN and the switch
power SWP2 & P7.

3.2 Check the HAMCB when power on

Cut off the main power and plug into all the connectors.
Check the position of SW3 (CHCS) and SW4 (DDO) switch on the HAMCB electronic board.

 Dial switch S1 has functions as follows:

SW1 (CHCS) -- ON: Normal operation

-- OFF: Hall call cancellation
SW2 (DDO) -- ON: Normal operation
-- OFF: Door operation cancellation

 Short-circuit blocks J1, J2, J4,J7, J10 have functions as follows:

J1 U11 chip procedure programming port

J2 Drive parameter write-protection switch
J3、J4 U1 chip procedure programming port
J7 Encoder power supply selection (5V, 8V)
J10 Watchdog automatic reset switch

 The server interface SVT has functions as follows:

SVT Server Interface

Make sure that the ERO switch on the controller is at the emergency run position.
Make sure that all landing doors and car doors are closed correctly.
Turn on the main power switch.
Observe the indicator on the HAMCB electronic board and check that the input signal is correct:

3.Set "Encoder Dir" to be 0,when V1 cable been used, the Inverter’s output UVW phase
sequence need to be one-to-one correspondence with the MOTOR’s UVW. When V2 cable been
used, swap any two phase.Monitor server 3-1-1Output current, press machine room inspection up
motion or down motion button, the drive makes automatic positioning with positioning process lasting
for 3-5 seconds, the Machine produces buzzing current sound and the "Output current" value shall be
less than 10% rated current. After the positioning process, the motor runs, and the no-load "Output
current" value shall be lower than 1A if the motor runs steadily and the velocity feedback is correct. If
the motor vibrates and "current fdbk error" occurs, change any two phases of UVW, after the
re-positioning, if it runs normally, observe the direction, change the rotation direction parameter
M3-3-1-1 Rotate dir;if it's contrary to the actual direction; during the up motion, check 3-1-3 "Now
Position", the system is normal if the monitoring value increases.

5.2.2 Check of converter jumper and encoder connection

The synchronous motor uses HEIDENHAIN encoder from Germany. The HAMCB board jum-
per and the connection cable of encoder have been made before leaving the factory, if the
server shows encoder failures or the motor can not work normally, please check this two items
under the condition that the parameter setting is correct. The connection cable of encoder is
shown in Table 16:

as the instruction.

8.Adjustment of Position Reference System

8.1 Adjustment of Limit Switch
Adjust the distance of the limit switch in accordance with Table 17 (The permissible error of
these distances shall be not more than 20mm). The plus and minus symbols in front of the
number are fixed like this: consider the level position of the top and bottom floors as the
benchmark and make a mark at the guide rail as 00mm.
As for the top floor, the plus symbol means "above the mark", while the minus symbol
means "under the mark".
As for the bottom floor, the plus symbol means "under the mark", while the minus symbol
means "above the mark".

9 Preparation of First Normal Running

9.1 Check of Safety, Door Chain Circuit
Make sure each switch of the safety chain is available, and make sure each of them
(OS,8LS,7LS,SOS,TES,PES,GS,DS,GSS) can stop the elevator under the requirement of
inspection operation. (Attention: Don’t forget to check the availability of the lock of the
landing door on each floor.)
.

9.2 Well Signal Confirmation

Use ERO or TCI to operate the elevator for the entire journey, inspect well signals including
door zone 1LV and 2LV and forced slow down 1LS and 2LS: use the server to enter SVT, enter
M1-1-2 to inspect input signals of the HAMCB board;

10 Learn Run
10.1 Before the learn run, use ERO to make whole journey operation and use the server to ob-
serve and ensure that the well photo-electric and forced slow down switch signals are normal.
10.2 When the elevator at the level position, DZ, 1LV and 2LV shall be “1”; when the elevator runs
downwards, 2LV acts first, therefore, 2LV and DZ turn into “0”. The upward running is on the
contrary.
10.3 When the elevator is near the bottom floor, 1LS acts and 1LS turns into “1”; when the elevator
is at the top floor, 2LS acts and 2LS turns into “0”; when the elevator is at the middle floor, 1LS
and 2LS shall be “1”.
10.4 Confirm that "RUN ENABLE" parameter in the M-3-3-1-9 of HAMCB drive part shall be 0 and
"RUN SOURCE SVT" in M3-3-5 of HAMCB drive part shall be 1.
10.5 Push ERO and TCI to the normal position and use the server to operate the drive part
M-3-3-4 to start the learn run.
10.6 The car will run to bottom floor in low speed, and go up in learn run speed. When the car
reaches the top floor level, the learn run finished.
10.7 After the successful learn run, set the "RUN ENABLE" parameter to 1. The learn run para-
meter stores in M-3-1-4 menu.

11 Normal Operation
11.1 Check according to the connection diagram that the address of remote station RS5 and the
pin connection are correct.
11.2 Connect the server to the SVT server interface on the HAMCB board, ensure in accordance
with the parameter table and the input and output table of the I/O interface that all para-
meters in the EEPROM and I/O addresses are correct.
11.3 Use the server to input the call signal.
11.4 Press in order the server's M-1-1-1, then input the call signal and press the number key of

12 Adjustment the Floor Level in Normal Running

12.1 before position of leveling adjustment, the mechanical adjustment of door zone should be
finished.
12.2 Run the car floor by floor in down direction and record the tolerance of each leveling floor.
And then use the average value to adjust the DOWN LEVEL in M-3-3-1-0. (if car is lower,
reduce the value, otherwise increase.)
12.3 Run the car floor by floor in up direction and record the tolerance of each leveling floor. And
then use the average value to adjust the UP LEVEL in M-3-3-1-0 (if car is upper, reduce
the value, otherwise increase.)
12.4 Finish the floor level adjustment.

13 Comfort of the beginning of running adjust

Set the elevator under the CHC and DDO status, operate the elevator in the fast run mode and
observe whether there's shake and car slipping, if shake is found, it indicates that the para-
meter matching is not good, enter M-3-3-1-1 to adjust the system inertia kg/m2 first, increase
or reduce 5 per time. Start the elevator, observe the start condition, if the start is unsatisfacto-
ry,it’s time to adjust M-3-3-5 Start Kp, Start Ki.If the system’s stiffness is strong enough, set
Start Kp 5000~7000,Start Ki 500~700;With the car top spring, generally set Kp 1000~3500,Ki
100~350; In this range, there is an optimal associated value for Kp and Ki.If there is car slip-
ping, still after adjusting Kp,Ki,,we can adjust M3-3-1-6 APR time,APR time meas “Starting
torque compensation time”. Here is an optimal associated value for APR time during 100~400
in common.Adjusted the parameters above, observe the condition the elevator running, until the
start achieve the best.
