LESSON PLAN

Week 1 GETTING STARTED


Period 5 LESSON 1

I. Objectives: After this lesson, students will be able to say "Hello!" and "Goodbye!"
II. Preparation:
- Teaching aids: student book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, IWB software,
projector/interactive whiteboard/TV
- Teaching techniques/methods: Teacher – whole class/ individuals/ pair work/ group work
- Teaching materials: Student book, notebooks, workbook.
III. Anticipated problems and solutions:
- Students may feel shy to stand in front of the class.
-> Teacher may ask these learners to work in groups/pairs so that they have a chance to participate
with their peers first. Also, it is recommended to give him/her a big applause to encourage.
- Students may find the lesson easy.
-> Teacher can teach them to introduce their names/ age.
