YOUR ANSWER TO THE ACTIVITY HERE

1. Before Reading the report, I used to think that one of the major drawbacks of e-

government is the lack of equity in public internet access. While many individuals

have internet access, many more do not, particularly in underdeveloped nations.

This has the potential to create a digital gap in which certain residents are unable

to access government services or information online. After reading, I now think

that E-government has the potential to dramatically benefit society by boosting

efficiency, enhancing services, and making public services more accessible. It

also makes government activities more transparent and accountable. Yet, it is

critical to evaluate the possible drawbacks, such as uneven internet access,

information dependability, hidden government objectives, hyper-surveillance,

expense, and inaccessibility for some communities. E-government adoption and

deployment, like any new technology, should be thoroughly evaluated to ensure

that the advantages outweigh the hazards. Security and monitoring solutions for

e-government infrastructure and apps can be provided by organizations such as

E-SPIN.

2. The things that are unclear to me about the reading is that the Economic poverty

is one of the main causes of the digital divide. People are unable to afford

computers. Lack of Awareness: Due to the use of digital technology also

contributes to the limited use of e-governance techniques.

3. The three questions I’d like to ask about E-government transformation is;

a) What do you think are the challenges that hinder the full implementation of

e-governance in the Philippines?

b) Why is e-governance is beneficial to Philippine government system?

c) How can we use e-governance to provide efficient services to citizens?
