    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I am writing to express my keen interest in the position of Full-Time Demonstrator (Additive


    Manufacturing) at the University of Botswana, Department of Industrial Design and
    Technology, as advertised under the Vacancy No: FET/IDT01/2023. With a strong academic
    background in Industrial Design and extensive experience in computer-aided design, 3D
    printing, and laser cutting, I am confident that my skills and passion for this field make me an
    ideal candidate for this role.

    I hold a second class upper division bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, which has
    equipped me with a solid foundation in various aspects of product design and manufacturing
    processes. During my academic journey, I gained proficiency in advanced computer-aided
    design software, including the Adobe Suite, as well as hands-on experience with 3D printing
    technologies. Furthermore, I have been regularly working with CAD and laser cutting
    machines in my current position at Thata Kitchens, where I have honed my technical skills
    and developed a keen eye for detail.

    Over the course of my tenure at Thata Kitchens, I have successfully operated laser cutting
    machines and the electronic press brake machine, ensuring accurate and precise product
    manufacturing. Additionally, I have actively collaborated with colleagues, sharing
    knowledge, and finding efficient manufacturing methods to enhance overall productivity.
    Demonstrating the changes and improvements to my team has been a vital aspect of my role,
    which directly aligns with the responsibilities of the Full-Time Demonstrator position.
    One of my strongest attributes is my ability to learn quickly, as evidenced by my rapid
    acquisition of proficiency in the Chinese software, Cypcut, used for laser cutting. As a highly
    attentive team player, I thrive in a collaborative environment and actively seek constructive
    criticism to continually improve my skills and performance.

    I am particularly enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute my knowledge and


    experience to the academic community at the University of Botswana. Being a part of the
    Industrial Design and Technology department would not only allow me to share my expertise
    but also enable me to learn and grow as a professional.
