This Project provides for the requirement for Construction of Outside Plant Telephone Cabling
System and its associated Communication Manhole and Conduit Systems, and all other required
accessories for the construction of Outside Plant Cabling Systems, for the New CHECKPOINT
BUILDING AT AL-JOUF PP.

1.2 PROJECT SUMMARY:

4). Perform trenching, excavation, asphalting, concrete pouring, backfilling, compaction

Manholes for ITC use only and shall include Manhole Frame & Cover, Hardware &

A.2. INSIDE PLANT WORKS/PREMISE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM:

1) Supply & install Information Outlets (Simplex/Duplex/Quadplex Type) for Voice/


Data, Wireless Access Points and Special Purpose Outlet for the New Checkpoint
Building. The proposed Special Purpose Information Outlet are not shown in the
approved layouts & shall be coordinated to the assigned SEC-Project In-Charge

2) The Outdoor Type Fiber Optic Cable, Non-Metallic Type with 12 Core minimum from
service entry pipe to Data Cabinet shall be installed in a 25.0 mm diameter Plenum
Type Corrugated Sub-Duct or Wrap with Fire Retardant Tape inside the IT&C Room
of New Checkpoint Building & Existing Admin Building. All Fiber/Core shall be all
splice with pigtail & terminated all in the F.O. Patch Panel.

Cabinets (Racks, Rittal Type). The New Data Cabinet shall accommodate all active &
non-active components with space free for future expansion and subject for SEC-ITC
Planning & Projects Dept. for review & approval. (See Material Specification in Part 4).

PART 2.0 - SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

2.1 GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK:


A. The Construction of Outside Plant/Premise Distribution System-Local Area Network (OSP/PDS-

JGT All electrical WORKS to be performed by CONTRACTOR under this project shall include
the supply of new materials, labor, equipment subject to the approval of COMPANY
REPRESENTATIVE, furnishing, details of installation, testing and commissioning of all
electrical systems required for the subject project. This project generally consists of
fluorescent lighting, power outlet, IP telephone outlet, data outlet, wiring, conduits, junction
boxes, etc. All electrical materials that are required for this project, whether shown or not on
the drawings, shall be supplied by CONTRACTOR.
2. CODES AND STANDARDS

The electrical system shall be installed in accordance with the latest edition of American/or
International Standard and COMPANY Standards. In case of any discrepancy between the

lighting shall be No. 12 AWG and signal/control wires shall be No. 14 AWG.

4. CONDUITS

PART-3 BASIC REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES

3.1 GENERAL CONDITION


A. All Components, materials and required WORK for the satisfactory completion and operation of
the PROJECT, and other accessories covered under the scope of this PROJECT, specified in

3.6 OUTAGE SCHEDULE/SHUTDOWN COORDINATION

Test Plan for each major material/equipment of the PROJECT. The quality activities
including but not necessarily limited to, inspection and testing, for the material/equipment
shall be planned and documented in the form of a Quality Control Plan/Inspection and
Test Plan. The Quality Control Plan/Inspection and Test Plan shall be submitted to the
COMPANY together with the PROJECT Quality Plan/Quality Program.

5.3 COMMUNICATION MANHOLE:


A. Communication Manholes shall be constructed and installed at every change in direction;
crossings; start and end of communication duct bank as required by the COMPANY and at
every 200 meters of continuous run.
B. Installation of Manhole/Handhole near the building walls or take-off structures shall be six (6)
meters from the base of the structure/wall to the outside end of the conduit.
C. Manhole/Handhole shall be waterproof in accordance with SEC Standard SA-036356/TA-
800096, SA-036357/TA-800097, SB-036358/TA-800098 & SB-036361. Additionally; sides and

6.1 TYPE TEST REPORT:

B. Procedures and Other Conditions
