For the wall shown in figure 1, it is necessary to:

1. Calculate normal and shear stresses at the bottom of the wall,


2. Calculate the intensity of horizontal force so that the total normal stress at point B is equal to
zero,
3. Calculate the length of compressed zone of the wall if the horizontal force H is equal to 500
kN.

The thickness of the wall is d=20 cm. Ignore the wall's weight.
