DAY : 05
CHARDHAM YATRA BY HELICOPTER Ex. Dehradoon
Dehradoon ‐ Kharsali (Yamunotri) ‐ Harsil (Gangotri) ‐ (Sersi) Kedarnath ‐ Badrinath ‐ Dehradoon
DAY 1 DEHRADUN
 Dehradun is our main base for the Heli-Tours. It is the starting & ending point.
 ABTT provides a complimentary stay on the date of arrival, but no meals are included –
which can be included at an additional cost.
 Passengers are picked up from Dehradun Airport/railway station/bus stand. Please note,
arrival details must be provided to ABTT at the time of booking.
 Passengers should try to reach Dehradun by 02:00 pm, or earlier, so that they are
completely ready to start their Chardham journey the next day early morning.
 In the evening, our team will be doing the tour briefing to the passengers, & provide
them duffel/canvas bags for carrying only necessary things on the trip – Up to 5
Kg/person will be permitted.
DAY 2 DEHRADUN – KHARSALI (YAMUNOTRI DHAM)
ETD: Sahastradhara Helipad: 06.00 Hrs. ETA: Kharsali Helipad: 06.45 Hrs.
This is starting day of the Chardham Yatra. Passengers will check-out early morning from the
hotel at 05:00 Hrs. They will be picked-up from the Hotel by our staff, & taken to
Sahastradhara Helidrome.
 Heli-base in Kharsali, where our ground staff would welcome the passengers. The staff
will then get the passengers settled in the hotel, which is at a walking distance from the
helipad.
 After breakfast, passengers will be taken for Yamunotri Darshan.
 Approximate time taken for Yamunotri Temple Darshan: Approximately 05hrs 30mins
(round-trip). Yamunotri trek is 06 km one-way.
 Sightseeing at Kharsali: Hot Spring at Yamunotri Temple, Yamuna Mata Temple, Shani
Temple. Return back and overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 3 KHARSALI – HARSIL (GANGOTRI DHAM)
ETD: Kharsali helipad: 06.30 Hrs. ETA: Harsil helipad: 07.00 Hrs.
 Passengers will check-out by 05.30 Hrs. Departure from Kharsali will be at 06.30 Hrs, &
the estimated time of arrival at Harsil/Jhalla will be 07.00 Hrs.
 Jhalla – Heli-base in the Chardham sector. After landing at Jhalla, passengers will be
taken to Harsil village & checked-in the hotel.
 Harsil – The second destination of our tour, also known for the extensive apple orchards
there, is the most scenic and beautiful destination of this tour.

 Passengers will be taken for Gangotri Dham Darshan after breakfast.
 Approximate Time taken for Gangotri Temple Darshan: 3Hrs 30 mins (round-trip). The
road distance to Gangotri temple is approx. 25 km, which is roughly a 50-minute drive.
 Sightseeing at Harsil: Harsil has many places & nature walks around to explore.
Passengers will be taken to explore any of the following:
 Bagodi Village walk / Short trek to Chholmi village / Nature walk from Jhalla / Shiv
Temple in Harsil. Overnight stay at Hotel.
DAY 4 HARSIL ‐ SERSI – KEDARNATH – SERSI (KEDARNATH DHAM)
ETD: Harsil helipad: 07.00 Hrs. ETA: Sersi helipad: 07.30 Hrs.
ETD: Sersi helipad: 09.00 Hrs. ETA: Kedarnath: 09.10 Hrs.
Passengers will be checked-out by 06.00 Hrs. Arrival at Sersi will be by 07.30 Hrs.
 Sersi – We operate the shuttle services for Kedarnath ji shrine from here.
 Passengers will be ferried to Kedarnath Dham for Darshan in a shuttle services flight,
after their breakfast.
 Approximate time taken for Kedarnath Temple Darshan: 02 hours.
 The shuttle services flight Sersi to Kedarnath is apporx. 07 minutes long.

Sightseeing at Sersi: Triyuginarayan Temple – It is the venue of the celestial marriage of
Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati. After return overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 5 SERSI – BADRINATH (BADRINATH DHAM)
ETD: Sersi helipad: 08.00 Hrs. ETA: Badrinath: 08.30 Hrs.
 Passengers will have breakfast by 07.00 Hrs at Sersi & be ready for their flight to
Badrinath by 08.00 Hrs.
 Passengers will be taken for Darshan to Badrinath temple in the afternoon after lunch.
 Approximate time taken for Badrinath Temple Darshan: Approx. 01-1.5 Hrs is taken to
have Darshan at the Badrinath Temple. Passengers will be taken from Hotel to the
temple by car.
 Sightseeing at Badrinath: Mana Village – Known as the ‘Last village of India’, due to its
proximity to the China border.

Evening Aarti at Badrinath Temple – Swaran/Chandi Aarti (on additional payment basis
directly at Badrinath).
DAY 6 BADRINATH – DEHRADUN
ETD: Badrinath: 09.00 Hrs. ETA: Sahastradhara Helidrome: 10.00 Hrs.
 Passengers who have pre-booked Maha Abhishek Puja, have to be ready early morning
by 03.30 Hrs. Puja shall take place from 04.30 Hrs to 06.30 Hrs.

 Badrinath ji hotel check-out time is 07.30 Hrs.
 Estimated time of arrival will be 10.00 Hrs at Sahastradhara. On arrival, our team will be
present to receive the passengers. Later, they will be taken to Dehradun hotel to collect
the luggage from cloak rooms, and then be dropped to airport/railway station.
 In case passengers would like to spend an additional night at Dehradun, accommodation
can be arranged by Apna Bharat Tours & Travels at an additional cost. The same must be
informed to us at the time of booking.
 After the final transfer, we will bid farewell to the passengers.

PACKAGE EXCLUDES:

In case tour days increases due to bad weather additional hotel stay & food charges will be paid by
tourist extra.

BOOKING POLICY:
 The booking has to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the amount by
cheque/NEFT/RTGS in favour of “APNA BHARAT TOURS & TRAVELS.” & Balance amount has to be
deposited before the start of journey (minimum 30 days in advance)

 Guest Name, Age with Identity Proof (Scan copy of Aadhar Card / Voter ID Card /Passport)
 Weight (Very critical in helicopter flying. We consider the given weight to be actual. If found
incorrect for any passenger we have rights to cancel passenger booking at the time of travel.)

CANCELLATION POLICY:
 Once a booking is made, the deposit fee is non-refundable.
 50% Cancellation from 15 days prior to departure.
 75% Cancellation from 10 days prior to departure.
 100% Cancellation from 7 days & below prior to departure.
 Please send your cancellation in writing or by Email. Verbal cancellation will not be entertained.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
 ARRIVAL DATE
Our Chardham 4N5D Heli-tours are booked departure date wise. However, passengers have to
arrive Dehradun one day prior to the departure date. Dehradun complimentary night stay which
is provided on the arrival date makes our package a 5Nights/6Days Tour. The actual flying
commences from Day 02 of the Tour.
 FIXED FLIGHT TIMINGS
This is a Daily Fixed Departure Helicopter tour, and all departure timings of each destination is
fixed. Therefore, passengers must ensure they report as per the scheduled ETDs on each day of
the tour, other-wise they will be considered NO-SHOW.
 BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
Only one baggage weighing a maximum of 5 Kg is allowed per passenger.
It is not permitted to carry suitcases or any other luggage bags in the helicopter. Therefore,
duffle/canvas bags are provided by our staff to all passengers on the day of arrival.
 SEATING CAPACITY
The maximum seating capacity for our helicopters is 06 passengers + 01 Crew.
Infant below 2 years or 12kg are accommodated free of charge. For verification of age the child,
ID proof/birth certificate of the child will be checked.
Children above the age of 2 years will be considered as a full Package cost.
 HELICOPTER WEIGHT LIMTATION
Maximum weight capacity of the helicopter is 450 kg (excluding baggage weight).

 Passengers are taken on board depending up on the load and temperature conditions. Pilots call
will be final. Total weight of all passengers on board must be within this limit. Hence, passengers
are required to provide us their exact weights at the time of booking.
 PASSENGER WEIGHTS
Passengers have to submit their correct weights at the time of booking. If any change in weight
found at the time of their travel from the submitted weights, which would exceed our aircraft’s
weight carrying capacity of 450 kg, passenger(s) would be deboarded & cancelled for the Heli-
tour without any refund.
 OVERWEIGHT CHARGES: ON PER SEAT BASIS ONLY
Overweight charges are applicable @ INR 3000/kg. This will be chargeable to passengers
weighing above 75 kg. But excess weight (not exceeding helicopter’s total weight limitation) will
only be calculated on the total excess weight above the total permissible weight of all the group
members combined, i.e., permissible weight = 75 Kg x (No. of pax).
Furthermore, any discrepancy found in the weights of the passengers, which would be
chargeable as per the overweight criteria, the same would be collected prior to boarding of
flights.
 For a separate Single Occupancy room, it will be extra chargeable @ INR 30,000/= person (tax
inclusive). Hotels at all the Dhams are non-star category. However, we have carefully selected
the most comfortable & best rated properties for our Heli-Tours.
 BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE DISCLAIMER
Flying in hills are subject to bad weather, and many Force Majeure factors like delayed Air Traffic
Clearances/Permissions, VVIP movements, valley flying by Indian Air Force (NOTAM), sudden
occurrence of technical snag in aircraft, illness of flying crew or late reporting of the passengers
at the helipads, among others. Therefore, passengers must be prepared to face any eventuality
and inconvenience in case of such scenarios.
 We strongly advise our passengers to keep one additional day at hand, over & above the 5 N6D
period, to avoid inconvenience in case passengers get stuck at any of the destinations due to bad
weather or force majeure scenarios.
 BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE DISCLAIMER

 All temples in Chardham sector are located at high altitude; therefore passengers are advised to
carry medication during travel. Also, they are advised to carry heavy woolen clothing with them,
because during evenings & nights, the temperature can drop drastically.
 MEDICAL EMERGENCIES
APNA BHARAT TOURS & TRAVELS will not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to
the passengers. Therefore, in your own interest, passengers are hereby advised to kindly consult
a doctor and get medical check-up done before commencing the Yatra. Medical check-up is
mainly required if a passenger has any medical ailment or condition.
 APNA BHARAT TOURS & TRAVELS reserves the right to cancel passengers, who are unruly,
abusive, intoxicated, sick, mentally unfit or anyone else whom we deem to be unsafe to fly. No
refund shall be done to such passenger(s).
 RESCHEDULING OF BOOKING
Rescheduling your booking to any future or prior travel date, will be done subject to availability,
and on payment of 10% of the total tour cost. This will be permitted only if informed at least 15
days before arrival date.
In case rescheduling is requested less than 15 days prior to the travel date, th en the booking
would be treated as cancelled, & a fresh booking will be given subject to availability, after the
levy of applicable cancellation charges.

BEST SEASON:
The best season to avail the Yatra by helicopter is May – June and September‐October.
We do not operate during July‐August months due to rainy season.
