Speak Part 1
Learning English
I have learned EL since I was at primary school. However, I was not good at learning it. In
this modern era, EL is very important because it improve my job prospects so I try to learn EL.
I learn EL in differents way. Besides learing EL in class, I often watch foreign movies without
subtitles. In addition, I regularly take nots of new words and stick them on the wall, so that I can
see it any time.
Your family
My family is an extended family. There are 7 peoples which are my grandparents, my parents,
my brother, my sister and me. My grandparents are retired. They are the closest to me. My
parents are working abroad. My brother and sister are the same.
My family enjoys cooking together. We share with each other about everything that happens
in life. I usually help my grandparents pull out their gray hair. For now, I live alone in another
city far from my family so I miss them so much.
Sure. We are really close to each other. I am happy that I can tell them anything. They are
always there to listen when I have problems.

2. Do you watch TV? If no, why not? If yes, which TV channel do you like best? Why?
Yes. I watch TV whenever I want, maybe when I’m in a good mood or not. Especially I love
watching the News at 7 pm every day because it provides me with a huge amount of information,
ranging from education to entertainment, ect.
3. Do you read books? If no, why not? If yes, what kinds of books do you like best? Why?
No, I don’t like read book. Because I find it boring. As answered in the previous question, I
prefer to watch TV than read books.
I live in a house in my hometown. However, when I went to Hanoi to study, I rented a small
room in the apartment to stay with my friends.
To be honest, I would say I like everything. From the food, the scenery to the people here. The
only thing that I don't like is the weather.
Nothing special either. There are many coffee shops here, I often go there to study or meet
friends. in addition, there is a large supermarket nearby so I often buy things without going far.
Topic 3:
Well, I usually play chess in my free time. I have been playing chess since I was 9 years old.
In addition, I join the chess club at school to learn and improve my skills.
Yes, of course. I like to watch chess matches. Besides watching chess matches, I also play
chess with everyone in the club.
My hometown is Quang Binh province. It's in the central part of Vietnam. It’s about 400 km
from Hanoi
Yes,once a month. It takes about 8 to 10 hours by coach. I live is a rural area so i can break
out of the noise of the city and enjoy the fresh air when i go back to my home.
My hometown is famous for travel place which is Phong Nha Ke Bang cave so i think when
the people come to my hometown they will visit there and try the local food.
Topic 4:
Well, i’m not good at cooking but I really love it. Whenever I enjoy delicious food I will try
my best to find a recipe as similar as possible.
I often cook dessert like different flavors of cake and some food such as spaghetti, tokbokki,
kimbap, fried chicken, ect.
My mom usually a main chef in my family because her’s cooking ability is very good. I am
also learning to cook from my mother so that I can cook delicious dishes for my small family in
the future.
In my opinion, speaking is the most difficult skill because I didn't have the environment to
practice. Besides, I am also quite shy whenever I say something wrong ...
To be honest, I I like the most is the listening skill. I usually listen to foreign music and watch
movies no subtittles to improve my listening skills.

Yes, it's very important. I prefer to eat healthy home-cooked food, rather than fast food or
pre-prepared meals, because I want to stay fit and healthy as I get older.
In my view, the best ways to keep fit and healthy are do more regular exercise and putting
more healthy food into the diet like fruits and vegetables. It’s essential to stick to a healthy
lifestyle in order to live much longer. Hence, I avoid eat junk food.
So embarrassing to talk about this. I used to be an milk tea-addicted I liked it so much that I
can drink one almost every day but now i give it up and toward a healthier lifestyle.
I usually go to school by own motorbike so i just use public transport when I want to go
somewhere too far I can’t drive in a long distance
I choose the electronical bus . It’s quite convenient because Ha Noi have a lot of bus and the
price is cheap too.
3. How often do you take taxis?
I rarely take taxis because the streets of Hanoi are quite small, narrow and often be
congested in a rush hour.

I don’t know. I think working with numbers. Because when I was at high school, my favourite
subject is math. That’s also why I chose to major in accounting.
To be honest, I want to work in bank in my hometown. My parents also wish I could work there.
I choose my hometown but not the big city because I don't want to be far from my family.

I’m a shopaholic. you know, I can shopping a malls or watching shopping online platform
all day. Trying on trendy, up-to-date clothes make me feel happier.

I love spring. Spring weather is very good. The sky is blue and clean. Spring is also the
season of Lunar New Year. This is an occasion for families to gather together and enjoy
traditional dishes.
There are 4 seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. However, in southern Vietnam,
there are usually only 2 seasons, the rainy season and the dry season.
The weather in summer very hot. So I love being immersed in the cool water of the beach. In
winter it's the complete opposite, sleeping in a warm blanket is the best thing for me.
No reason to choose. My friends are my family too and I woudn’t celebrate without either one
of them.
Birthday is the most special day for everyone. I usually celebrate a small meal at home and
invite friends over for my birthday. Of course, birthday cakes and candles are indispensable.
Yes. My parents, brothers and sisters like to eat out at restaurants for their birthdays. I just
love a cozy meal at home because I hate noise.
