Entering data
So you have figured out how to navigate the Excel
Interface. But the fun just began because you need to
enter some information into the cells to either record
or analyze. For this, there are three ways to enter this
data:
Select a cell of your choice and enter your data
Double-click on a cell of your choice and enter your
data
Click on a cell, click on the Formula Bar, and enter
your data

Data Formats in Excel


A data format is exactly how data is structured,
organized and interpreted by Microsoft Excel.
How to find data formats in Excel
This can be achieved in the following steps.
Click on the Home Tab
Look at the Number Group in the Ribbons
Click on the drop-down arrow and select the
format you want.
OR
Right-click on the cell(s) you want to format
Select "Format Cells" from the context menu.
From the "Format Cells" dialog box, choose the
format you want for the selected cell(s).
