Activity: Riddles, Riddles, Riddles! (Circular Objects)

I’m something made of metal

Although I am not a bell
I am something that is round
You throw in a wishing well
Coin

I’m something that smells cheesy

But I’m not a pair of socks
I am a food that is sliced

The same color as a carrot
Orange

3. Review Activity: Skip Counting

The teacher will divide the class into 3 groups. Each group will
be given numbers to do a skip counting.

Group 1: 1, 2, and 3
Group 2: 4, 5, and 6
Group 3: 7, 8, and 9

After the skip counting activity, the teacher will ask what is
their previous topic all about.

Activity: Let’s Sing the Puzzle Song!

The teacher will play the puzzle song.

After the song played, the teacher will ask the following
questions:
1. What is the song all about?
2. Have you tried completing or building a puzzle?

completing a puzzle?

C. Presenting examples instances of

the new lesson
1. Activity/ Engagement Activity: Make me Whole! (Jigsaw Puzzle)
The teacher will group the class into four. The teacher will
distribute jigsaw puzzle pieces to be build/assembled by the
students.

Directions: Complete the puzzle to reveal the object in the

picture. After completing the puzzle, find the circumference of
the object using, paper, string or yarn, ruler, or a tape measure.

Answer the following question:

1. What is the hidden object in the puzzle?
2. What is/are your strategy/ies in solving/completing the
puzzle?
3. What is/are the difficult part/s of completing the
puzzle?
4. How did you measure the circumference of the object?
5. What are the measuring tools/materials did you used to
measure the circumference of the object?

2. Analysis/Modelling Activity: Group Presentation

The groups will present their jigsaw puzzles, and present to the
class their outputs.

Rubrics

Developing Mastery Activity: Look for me, and measure me!

Directions: Find a circular object and measure its

circumference using different measuring tools.
3. Abstraction Activity: Scrambled Words

Different Measuring Tools

1. EPAT EAUSREM- Tape Measure
Is a flexible measuring tool used for measuring soft or
rounded materials. This tool is used by dressmakers or
tailors in getting the body measurement of their
customers.
