Application Instructions
WATERPROOFING SYSTEM
SURFACE PREPARATION
• Newly poured concrete must be at least 7 days old.
• All surfaces must be clean, dry, free from surface contaminants and structurally sound.
Surface preparation may be carried out by the use of pressure water cleaning, power
buffing or scraping. Mold and fungus infested walls should have sodium hypochlorite
applied to the substrate prior to pressure washing.
• Any structural cracks should be saw cut and struck smooth with a cementations or
low shrink grouting compound.
PRIMING
• Add clean water 20-30% to mix for primer. Allow primer o dry.
PAINTING
• Thoroughly mix material well with low speed electric stirrer.
• Apply by brush, spray or roller. Apply ACRYLIC ROOFKOTE in multiple coats to
coverage of no more than 2 m2 per kg. Otherwise the film will spread too thin.
• Allow the product to dry between coats (usually 2 hrs.) Apply the later coat in the
perpendicular direction with the previous coat.
• ACRYLIC ROOFKOTE can be used in conjunction with reinforce fiberglass mesh to
improve resistance of wear and tear.
• To achieve smooth finish, 5-10% of clean water may be added to mix for topcoat.
CLEANING
• Tools and equipment should be cleaned whilst screed is still wet using clean water.
Hands and skin should be cleaned immediately with clean water.
Precaution: Avoid working on rainy day. Before using ACRYLIC ROOFKOTE, please ensure
you have received and read carefully both the hazard level applied on the container and
the relevant material safety datasheet.
Safety Instructions Wear appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses or goggles,
protective clothing during use. In case of eye contact: promptly wash eyes with plenty of
water. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes and consult physician immediately.
Storage & Shelf Life Material must be kept in-door at room temperature, avoid expose of direct sunlight. Product
Shelf life is 12 months in unopened package and under suitable storage condition.
