    MANDATORY UNANNOUNCE FIRE DRILL CY 2022-2023


    The Department of Education equipping the school children with the knowledge, appropriate
    attitude, and instructions on what to do in case of a natural disaster like fire drill. The said drill as
    mandated by the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010.

    On January 17, 2023 during the morning break a siren sound blurted for the minute as a signal that an
    fire drill is currently happen. Everybody in their respective classes shouted five times “SUNOG” after that,
    the teachers led their advisory classes in heading to the designated evacuation area. They were grouped
    together according to the class where they belong. Then, all classroom teachers did a headcount to make sure
    that all pupils are.

    The fire drill was successfully done because everybody participated.

    Earthquake drills are important part of our preparedness plan. They teach us
    how to respond to the complications of actual earthquake and help us evaluate our
    readiness in case of disasters.

    Earthquake drill was held at Cabugao Elementary School last January 13, 2023
    at their respective grounds. The said drill as mandated by the Philippine Disaster Risk
    Reduction and Management Act of 2010.

    The signal and alarm system were executed at around 3:00pm. Everybody in
    their respective classes ducked and covered themselves under their armchairs and
    tables. After that the evaluation plan was smoothly and properly followed. The drill
    was ended at exactly 3:0pm.

    The earthquake drill was successfully done because everybody participated.
