USE OF HAVE HAS AND HAD TABLE OF USE

NOTE: We can also use “have got” in place of “have” is used to show
Meaning: possession.

Have  simply  means  to  possess  something. When  it  is used  as  a  main  verb  it For  Example:
shows  the  possession  of  something. I have three children. (I have got three children.)
For  Example:

She has a  house.  (She  owns  a  house.)

When it is used as an auxiliary or helping verb it shows the completeness o Have     Do  not  have     Do  subject  have

USE OF HAS – HAVE

These verbs  (has,  have)  are  used  to  show  the  possession  of  something,  in the
present  tense. She has a dog in her house.

For  Example:

She has a cat.
They do not (don’t) have bullets in their gun.
The policeman has a gun.
She does not (doesn’t) have any dog in her house.

USE OF HAD

This verb (had) is used to show possession of something, in the past


tense.
I had four houses.
They had a cow.
She had a chicken.
The policeman had a gun.
