 ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

Part I

PURPOSE
The purpose of this assignment is to enhance learners’ skills in discussing and assessing
the capital structure of companies.

REQUIREMENT
You are required to answer Assignment 1 and Assignment 2 separately by referring to
the attached rubrics.

Assignment 1:

The capital structure of a company is related to how much capital is needed to finance
its assets and support its operations. Learners are required to refer to at least THREE
journal articles (recent 5 years) and answer the following questions:
1. Discuss the importance of capital structure for a company.
2. Discuss factors determining the capital structure of a company.
3. Discuss the major features of sound capital structure.
4. Discuss the differences between capital structure and financial structure.

Assignment 2:

Choose TWO publicly listed companies of Bursa Malaysia from the same sectors and
access their financial statements for the year ended 2022. Learners may access the
financial statements from https://www.bursamalaysia.com/.
1. Write the introduction of the selected companies.
2. Discuss the components of the capital structure of both companies.
3. Write a summary of both assignments.

Tugasan 1:
Struktur modal syarikat adalah berkaitan dengan berapa banyak modal yang diperlukan
untuk membiayai asetnya dan menyokong operasinya.
Pelajar dikehendaki merujuk sekurang-kurangnya TIGA artikel jurnal (5 tahun terkini) dan
menjawab soalan-soalan berikut:

3. Bincangkan ciri-ciri utama bagi struktur modal yang kukuh
