In this time of revolution logical and creative subjects do play a vital role in the

brain development of the students it not only opens a student’s mind for deep
thinking but also make his vision of seeing things in a different and in more
logical way. There are many innovations in the field of critical thinking and
critical thinking plays an incredibly significant role for the development of
student’s mind. Subject like mode of reasoning as the name suggests allows a
person to analyze critically and use his knowledge differentiate between correct
and incorrect reasoning and this helps the person to use his intellectual in
situations like problem solving.
Moreover, if subjects like logic modes of reasoning are included in courses of
post-secondary students the results can be very exuberating because such a
technical subject develop cognitive skills in the students, and Ginni Rometty

cognitive skills will facilitate them in the basic structure of argument as it will
facilitate the students to think in a wider perspective and give arguments
accordingly differentiating between what is right and what is wrong and what is
logical and what is illogical hence you can improve your arguments with the
knowledge you have and with analyzing skills you would have achieved by
studying this subject. Modes of reasoning can be distinguished between
deductive and inductive reasoning. “The deductive method is the mode of using
knowledge, and the inductive method the mode of acquiring it.” — Henry
Mayhew Mr Baley, like whenever you encounter a situation which require
problem solving or involves strong arguments you can use both modes of
reasoning depending upon the situation and type of problem as in inductive
reasoning you come up to a conclusion and generalize your answer based upon
the observation whereas and in deductive reasoning you analyze the facts and
them come up with a conclusion. Subject like logic mode of reasoning helps
you in not only making an argument but also make you efficient enough so you
can verify your reasoning through testing techniques and can challenge falsely
arguments based upon your analyzing skills and can give valid counter
arguments regarding the issue.
Apart from developing critical thinking through subject like logic mode of
reasoning. It also builds up your morale and conviction to deliver your thoughts
confidently through words and improves your communication skills, as Lee
Iacocca wisely quoted “You can have brilliant ideas, but if you can’t get them
across, your ideas won’t get you anywhere.” So for an precisely effective
communication it is very important to be confident in your self and to be
certain about your thoughts, you should be aware of when to speak, what to
speak and how to speak along with this it is also very important to adapt the
habit of listening and letting the opponent to put forward his own point of view
you should also be welcoming towards other persons perceptions because it is
also true that there is not always one right answers so respecting others beliefs
and opinions is very necessary this also helps in the cognitive development as it
can widen your vision and also affect your opinions for good because there is
always a room for improvement, this makes a person feel more confident in
himself and he becomes independent in life and the person starts speaking for
himself, taking his individual stand in world full of critics and starting to own
thinking and decisions and not to be afraid of the consequences that would
follow his decisions because it very important to owning what to belief and
about what you think. Logic mode of reasoning builds up leadership qualities in
you by sharping your beliefs and making you firm about what you think and
helps you to communicate them with the world.
Hence subject like logic modes of reasoning should be added in the courses of
all post-secondary students as it will not only improve their critical thinking but
also help them in communicating their thoughts.
